Does Maroon 5’s Adam Levine Approve Of Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton Romance?

The Voice just got a lot more complicated. With news that both Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are indeed shacking up, post-their respective divorces, the question now becomes, what do the rest of the coaches think? For Maroon 5’s Adam Levine, who was teased about the hook up at the CMAs, the answer is quite simple.

It’s no big deal.

As reported by E! Online, Adam Levine took to Facebook to subtly voice his support for the recent hookup between his work mates. The star-studded selfie showcased Blake, Gwen and Adam with the caption, “Family. (Blake is the stepbrother)” added to the photo. In a way, many have taken this to be Levine’s support for his co-stars.

In related news, the Maroon 5 front man is also apparently willing to take it a step further when The Voice airs live. According to Hollywood Life, Adam Levine is poised and ready to tease the new couple on air.

“Adam is going to go all in once the shows go live and the banter that he has with Blake will now be even heightened as he intends to joke to both Blake and Gwen about their relationship throughout the whole season,” their insider shared. “He will not back off in any way. But keep in mind it will all be done in fun because Adam loves the both of them and Blake is his best friend.”

The rumors of a Voice hook-up had been heating up increasingly as of late with photos of Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton surfacing. And, as confirmed by Us Weekly, Shelton and Stefani have indeed been canoodling lately following their respective return to single life.

Blake Shelton had been married to country star Miranda Lambert until recently, when the couple made it official that they were breaking up. In a similar fashion, Gwen Stefani was married to rock music star and Bush front man Gavin Rosdale until the pair also announced they were calling it quits.

Adam Levine meanwhile, remains happily married to super model Behati Prinsloo despite rumors that their marriage was on the rocks earlier this summer. Most recently, as reported by Inquistr, Adam has nursed Behati back to health following wisdom teeth surgery. In interviews with Ryan Seacrest, Levine has spoken glowingly about his current wife, even going so far as talking about kids…a lot of kids in their future.

“I want to have 100 kids. I want to have more kids than would be socially responsible. I don’t know when we’re going to do it. We can’t do it right now. I think it’s absolutely in the works for some future date.”

If statements like this are any indication, Levine and Prinsloo are not in any danger of breaking up as some tabloids have otherwise suggested. However, it’s important to note most celebrity marriages start out with the best intentions only to break down after a period of time. Levine need look no further than the chairs closest to him on The Voice as any indication. Both Gwen and Blake’s marriages seemed to fall apart out of the blue and the relative quickness in which both have now started dating is a good example at how quick celebrities can move on to someone new.

With Maroon 5 booking more and more concerts in support of their smash hit album V, it wouldn’t surprise anyone if Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo’s marriage might crumble. All that time apart can easily put the kind of strain that sometimes causes celebrity relationships to deteriorate. Hopefully for Adam Levine, the growing success of Maroon 5 doesn’t make him yet another example of a celebrity breakup.
