Lisa Vanderpump spoke of Vanderpump Rules Season 4 on Twitter on Sunday, November 1, just hours before tonight’s big premiere.
Following a couple of seasons of starring on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Lisa Vanderpump was granted her own spinoff series, Vanderpump Rules, which would be based out of her West Hollywood, California, restaurant, SUR Lounge. While Lisa Vanderpump stars on the series and has since its 2011 debut, the majority of the drama is based on the lives of her staff members, including Jax Taylor and Scheana Marie Shay.

During the first season, Taylor’s relationship with then-girlfriend Stassi Schroeder took center stage, but the romance quickly came to an end after it was discovered that Taylor had slept with Kristen Doute, Schroeder’s close friend and Tom Sandoval’s then-girlfriend. Meanwhile, Shay’s relationship with boyfriend Mike continued to thrive, despite the drama of their co-stars. During Season 3, they wed.
On November 2, Broadway World described Lisa Vanderpump’s upcoming fourth season of Vanderpump Rules as follows.
“This season on Vanderpump Rules, [Lisa Vanderpump] is joined once again by Jax Taylor, Scheana Shay, Tom Sandoval, Ariana Madix, Katie Maloney, Tom Schwartz and Kristen Doute, along with James Kennedy. On a mission to keep SUR one of the hottest restaurants in Los Angeles, [Lisa Vanderpump] is faced with the ongoing challenge of controlling her disorderly bartenders, servers, hostesses and bussers.”
Following the fallout from Taylor’s hookup with Doute, not only did he and Schroeder’s relationship come to a complete end, the relationship of Doute and Sandoval was also called off. In the years since, everyone has moved on. As Lisa Vanderpump continued to run SUR Lounge and her other Los Angeles restaurants, Villa Blanca in Beverly Hills and PUMP in West Hollywood, Doute began dating James Kennedy and Sandoval began dating Ariana Madix.

“This season is really intense. The stakes are so high,” Lisa Vanderpump told Bravo’s the Daily Dish during her EVINE live celebration in October. “It’s a show where their shenanigans get carried away and they get carried away with themselves. Relationships get very intense this season; it’s an incredibly incestuous group. We have so many incredibly diverse characters. It’s tricky.”
“I manage to wrangle them and steer them in the right direction. I do have to yell and scream at them, but that’s the way it has always been.”
Joining Lisa Vanderpump and the returning members of the full-time cast are new girl Lala Kent (who Lisa Vanderpump claims is a bit naughty) and Stassi Schroeder, who took on a reduced role after Season 3 and is expected to also be featured in a limited role for Season 4.
Kent works at SUR Lounge with the rest of Lisa Vanderpump’s co-stars and reportedly hooks up with Doute’s boyfriend, Kennedy, during filming. While it is believed she will be featured part-time on the show, much like Schroeder, that hasn’t yet been confirmed.
Throughout the summer, Lisa Vanderpump had a full schedule. Not only was the reality star and restauranteur busy with business and Vanderpump Rules, she also filmed a full-time role for the sixth season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which is expected to air on Bravo later this year.
For more of Lisa Vanderpump and the entire Vanderpump Rules cast, be sure to tune into the Season 4 premiere of the hit reality show tonight, November 2, at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
