Lamar Odom’s near-death experience, along with his and Khloe Kardashian’s decision to call off their divorce, led to numerous rumors about their alleged plans to reconcile their marriage. However, recent reports definitely suggest otherwise.
The latest twist in their ongoing saga proves just how hard it really is to “keep up” with the Kardashians. Although Khloe has been at Lamar’s side since he was found unconscious in a Las Vegas brothel, her recent change of plans definitely cancels the possibility of a happy ending for her and Lamar.

According to E! News, Khloe recently traveled to Houston, TX, to support her boyfriend, James Harden, for the Rockets’ season opener. The abrupt change left many fans wondering if Khloe and James ever broke up. Despite the media’s interpretation of their decision to halt divorce proceedings, an inside source has confirmed that although Khloe has supported Lamar, nothing about her relationship with James has changed, according to the Daily Mail.
“Khloe and James never broke up. He’s been so understanding and he knows that Khloe’s love for Lamar is deeper than what most people can understand,” the source said. “He’s been very understanding and supportive. Lamar has a long road ahead of him and Khloe will always have the love she has for Lamar.”
During her highly publicized interview with People magazine, she opened up about the current situation she and Lamar are faced with. Due to the staggering number of medical complications Lamar has been facing, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star made it clear that they have much more to focus on. Lamar Odom’s health is much more important than any matters of the heart.
“It’s out in the media that we are back together, but I wish people understood that’s not in our thought process right now,” Khloe clarified. “There are too many other important things, too many medical things. It’s not even in our brains thinking about us as a couple or having a relationship right now. There is a very long road ahead of him, and he has to walk that road by himself. But I’ll be there supporting him every step of the way.”
Khloe Kardashian made it clear that she intends to be a support system for him, and the finalization of their divorce simply came at a gravely inconvenient time, according to E! News. However, the decision had nothing to do with their intent to rekindle what is lost. Although the 31-year-old reality TV star opted not to share specific details about his condition, she did confirm that he does have a long road to recovery ahead. She also assured she’d be supporting him every step of the way.
“It’s not anything sexual or intimate,” Khloe explained. “I want to be his support system. Tragedy does make you reassess a lot of things, but when it comes to our relationship, it’s the same, except I’m here supporting him fully.”
Khloe’s confirmation of her relationship status with Lamar comes just days after updates about his condition were released. According to Hollywood Life, Lamar is now making his own medical decisions and he’s no longer on dialysis. However, he’s still facing an uphill battle and a long road to recovery. At this point, Lamar’s future is still unknown, but fans are still praying and hoping for the best.
