Leonardo DiCaprio Has Another Doppelgänger, And This Time It’s Not A Woman

Leonardo DiCaprio, 40, has another doppelgänger, this time in the form of Konrad Annerud, a 21-year-old Swedish bartender.

Lately, as Huffpost Entertainment reports, Konrad’s Instagram pictures have been going viral because he looks so much like Leonardo DiCaprio. Not just any Leonardo DiCaprio, however. Konrad closely resembles DiCaprio from his younger days — think Leo from The Beach, Romeo + Juliet, The Basketball Diaries, and Titanic. As of this post, Konrad’s Instagram account has amassed more than 28,500 followers, most likely because of his resemblance to Leonardo DiCaprio… or maybe he’s just a really friendly bartender.

The resemblance is uncanny, if you’re thinking of a young Leo, of course. Konrad’s looks made him popular in Sweden, and he was interviewed by a Swedish news outlet, Nyheter 24, wherein he talked about what it feels like to be mistaken for one of Hollywood’s hottest actors.

“I get to hear that I look like him quite often, especially since I work as a bartender in a nightclub. But it’s fun to be like him, he’s handsome.”

Despite this, however, the constant attention also gets to him, as he didn’t choose the life of a celebrity who almost gets no privacy when seen out in the public.

“When I was in Italy this summer, I almost felt like shaving my hair off. It was very chaotic; people were yelling ‘Leo’ and wanted to take photos with me all the time. It was one of the craziest things I’ve ever experienced.”

Browsing through Konrad Annerud’s Instagram account, you’ll notice that in some of his pictures, he effortlessly emulates some of Leonardo DiCaprio’s pictures from the 90’s — those that you see in teeny-bopper posters and centerfolds on teen magazines. There are pictures of Konrad wearing a black leather jacket with side-swept hair, and even a few where he’s smoking a cigarette.

Konrad Annerud isn’t Leonardo DiCaprio’s first doppelgänger. In fact, in 2012, someone found another doppelganger of Leonardo DiCaprio — a woman from the 1960s.

As the International Business Times reported back then, a Tumblr user posted a picture from his grandmother’s high school yearbook, and to his surprise, he saw a picture of a woman named Judy Zipper, who appears to look like Leonardo DiCaprio. You can see the image from the yearbook below. Tumblr user lo-parksthecar wrote the caption, “I found Leonardo DiCaprio in my granmothers yearbook from 1960… Suuure ‘Judy Zipper.'”

Because of this old picture of Judy Zipper who looks like Leonardo DiCaprio, many people made their own theories about reincarnation and DiCaprio being a vampire or immortal. In fact, Leonardo DiCaprio isn’t the first celebrity to be thought of as immortal. There have also been old pictures of unknown people who resemble other Hollywood greats such as Nicholas Cage, Keanu Reeves, and Sylvester Stallone. There’s even an entire website dedicated to pictures of celebrities and their historical counterparts.
