Becca Tilley Heads Home From ‘The Bachelor,’ But There’s An Unexpected Twist

Becca Tilley didn’t find love with Chris Soules on the last season of The Bachelor, but her fans have been holding out hope that she will make a connection with the Season 20 Bachelor Ben Higgins. However, after spending time in Ben’s hometown of Warsaw, Indiana, this weekend, Reality Steve revealed that Becca will be returning home on Monday.

Although it sounds like the end of the road for Becca, it’s actually great news for the soon-to-be 31-year-old. The home she is headed to is not San Diego where she lives and works — she’s headed to her hometown of Shreveport, Louisiana. In a tweet to his followers, Reality Steve confirmed that Becca will be going on a date with Ben in Shreveport on her birthday, Friday, October 30.

This will be the second year in a row that Becca will celebrate her birthday while on a date with the Bachelor. Last year, Bachelor Chris Soules traveled to Shreveport to meet Becca’s family and go on a one-on-one date with her at the state fair. In Chris’ People blog, he wrote about their date, noting that it was one of the “most romantic” moments of his life.

“What you don’t know is that day with Becca’s family was actually her birthday… that’s why I set up that special Ferris wheel ride. Becca had told me the state fair was in town and how much she loved it, so I arranged to go there after it closed, to take her on a special birthday ride. I’m not going to lie, it was one of the most romantic moments of my life.”

That romantic moment on the ferris wheel didn’t lead to a happily-ever-after for Chris and Becca. Although she made it to the overnight dates and was one of Chris’ final two picks, he sent Becca home at the final rose ceremony and proposed to Whitney Bischoff.

Will Becca get her happily-ever-after on Ben’s season of the Bachelor? While the final rose ceremony is still three weeks away (November 18), she seems to be making great progress with Ben.

When filming first started in September, one of Reality Steve’s secret sources said that Ben specifically told Becca not to join his season of the Bachelor. Steve claimed that she did it anyway and he predicted that she would not make it very far. Considering she’s made it to the hometown dates, that rumor doesn’t seem to be true. It’s hard to believe that Ben would keep her around if he didn’t like her — although there’s always a chance that producers want her to stay to keep ratings up.

Early-on in the season, Becca has enjoyed a one-on-one date with Ben in Las Vegas, with onlookers snapping a photo of her leaving the Aria Hotel and Casino in a wedding dress.

After Vegas, she traveled to Mexico City, the Bahamas and, most recently, spent the weekend in Warsaw, Indiana, with Ben and five other girls. Now that her hometown date is confirmed, Becca is well on her way to the rose ceremony.

Do you think Becca will get Ben’s final rose or will she get eliminated after hometown dates? Expect to see hometown date photos leaked on Twitter and Instagram next week and perhaps a few clues as to how Becca did on her date with Ben.

The Bachelor 2016 premieres on January 4, 2016, on ABC.
