After England forced a surprising draw in the First Test against Pakistan, cricket fans can watch live online as England batters attempt to fight back from a Pakistan first innings of 378 as they head into Day Three of the Second of the three Test series between the two two four test cricket nations in the world. England comes into the Test match ranked third among the 10 Test-playing nations, with 102 points on the ICC table, while Pakistan is just a single point behind in fourth place.
To find out how to watch Day Three of the Pakistan vs. England Second Test cricket match live online, see the streaming information at the bottom of this article. First ball of the day is scheduled for 10 a.m. local time on Saturday, October 24, at Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. United States viewers can catch the live stream of the match at 2 a.m. Eastern Time, 11 p.m. on Friday, October 23, Pacific Time.
The Pakistan vs. England Test series, which will be followed by four one day international and three T20 matches, is being played in the United Arab Emirates, as Pakistan has not been able to host a Test series since a 2009 terrorist attack against the visiting Sri Lanka cricket team led to such security concerns that other Test nations have refused to tour the country.
Only Zimbabwe has broken the boycott, playing ODI and T20 series in Lahore, Pakistan, in May of this year.
But the conditions of the dry, desert pitches in the UAE immediately caused controversy in the 2015 Pakistan vs. England Test series, with England bowlers in the first innings of the First Test unable to find anything to work with in the Abu Dhabi pitch. Spinners for both sides had delivered a record 774 balls without taking even one wicket over the first three days; only 11 wickets fell in the first 261 overs bowled.
"If I am honest with you that pitch has made the cricket dull," commented Pakistan spin bowling coach Mushtaq Ahmed.
The Second Test is taking place in Abu Dhabi, and initially, the same problem seemed to be occurring, with Pakistan rolling up 282 runs in the 90 Day One overs. But this time, at least, England did manage to secure four wickets, including a key dismissal of Pakistan's Younis Shah by England paceman Mark Wood — before bowling the hosts out for 378 on Day Two.
England Captain Alastair Cook relied most heavily, however, on spinner Moeen Ali, who completed 20 overs on Day One.
When England open their batting on Day Three, they'll still have their 24-year-old rising star Joe Root at the crease, attempting to build on his 76 not out total from Day Two. Cook, who scored a double century in his first innings in the First Test, was caught for 65 this time around.
