‘Mrs. Doubtfire’ Trailer Gets Recut As A Horror Movie [Video]

Robin Williams dressing up as an old lady is a hilarious premise that would make a great family movie…. Or, maybe, it’s a frightening idea that would have made a better horror film.

The trailer for “Mrs. Doubtfire,” the classic 1993 movie about a man who has to play nanny in order to spend more time with his kids, has been recut into an awesome horror movie.

Peter Javidpour, who created the trailer, sums up the plot of the new movie saying:

“An unemployed actor undergoes a drastic transformation in a twisted attempt to regain the trust of his estranged family.”

The synopsis for the original movie reads:

“After a bitter divorce, an actor disguises himself as a female housekeeper to spend secret time with his children held in custody by his Ex.”

Javidpour uses footage from the original movie but underscores with chilling music and a few horror effects. And surprisingly, it works really well.

Robin Williams showed that he could play the bad guy in movies like One Hour Photo and Insomniac but who knew that the line between funnyman Robin Williams and psychopath Robin Williams was so thin?

Here’s a video for the “Mrs. Doubtfire” horror movie.
