Teigen and Legend have always been open about their struggles to get pregnant. Now that they are having their first child, Teigen immediately took to social media to share her joy: “Somebody is early to the party,” she captioned the bathroom mirror selfie showing off her bump.

Some Twitter users noticed her already curvy tummy and others were quick to speculate that she may be having twins. Teigen was not pleased with some of the comments and immediately cleared all speculations on her Twitter account.

“Good thing I am unoffendable or this would be a rough few months,” Teigen wrote on her Twitter.

In a series of tweets, she said she did IVF one at a time and that they are not expecting twins, so she told her Twitter followers to “please stop” making up assumptions about her pregnancy. Additionally, she informed her fans that she goes in for an ultrasound every few days, so they definitely know they’re not having twins.

In one Twitter post, she said, “Get out of my uterus!” She responded to rude comments by posting poker-faced emojis that disguised her dismay.

After receiving a slew of mixed comments and reactions on social media, Teigen promised not to post any more pregnancy updates on her Twitter. “No more preg tweeting for me, lesson learned!! Back to food and reality TV and hay things,” the soon-to-be-mom tweeted on Sunday.

Even so, the first-time parents are happy that they are finally having their own child after facing fertility issues throughout their relationship.

In a previous FabLife episode, Teigen opened up about seeing fertility doctors to help her conceive. She openly told the audience that she and Legend were having trouble getting pregnant and added that it has been a tough process for both of them.

“We’ve seen fertility doctors, and once you open up about those things to other people, you learn that a lot of other people in your life are seeing these people and they have this shame about it,” she said at the time. She got emotional as she shared how women avoid this very sensitive matter.

Teigen said she can relate with women who are having fertility issues of their own and added that it must be dreadful for someone struggling to get pregnant to be asked such insensitive questions.

Ever since the couple got married two years ago, people have been constantly asking them why they haven’t had any children. Although some people meant well, she could not help but feel bad with their nosy questions. “…just two years into being married, the questions come from all over. It’s kind of crazy,” Teigen said on FabLife.

On October 12, Teigen and her musician husband announced on Instagram their good news: “John and I are so happy to announce that we are pregnant :)”

She also mentioned the hardships they faced just to get pregnant. “As many of you know, we’ve been trying to have a baby for a while now. It hasn’t been easy, but we kept trying because we can’t wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family.”

Teigen did not seem to take the comments seriously as she shared that she, too, is guilty of commenting on other pregnant women’s bump. She said it is her “karma” to receive comments about her own growing belly. She tweeted jokingly “… I love bumps so I loved saying how round/big/beautiful they are on others. Don’t worry, friends.”
