Kim Kardashian Makes Lamar Odom Smile During Hospital Visit

The last few days have been especially difficult for the Kardashians after the clan learned that Khloe’s ex, Lamar Odom, had been hospitalized after he was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel recently. After a few days in critical condition, in which there have been discussions about his life and death, Odom finally woke from his coma last Friday.

Citing a source with knowledge of the situation, CNN reported that the former NBA star was conscious and able to say “Hi” to his estranged wife Khloe Kardashian. Although it appears that Lamar is doing better, the ex-Los Angeles Laker’s troubles and far from over, and he is said to be suffering from failing organs. However, Odom’s recent improvements have undoubtedly been a boost to spirits of the Kardashian family as well as other loved ones.

“He is still in the ICU, is receiving oxygen, and sleeps a lot,” an insider was quoted as saying. “He is not talking, but seems to understand when Khloé and the medical staff speak to him.

According to New York Daily News, Kim Kardashian was able to make Lamar smile during a recent visit. The reality TV star posted the following message to her Instagram account.

“I believe in the power of prayer and positive energy! Thank you all for your prayers,” Kim wrote. “Lammy- I’m so happy Kendall & I could make you smile today! God is good!”

As US Weekly notes, Kim’s post, in which she shared a picture of her dancing with the former NBA star, came just a few minutes after her mom, Kris Jenner, shared a photo of herself, Khloe, Kourtney, and Rob Kardashian posing with Odom years ago. She captioned the photo with the following words.

“Come on Lamar!!!! You are such a champion… I know you got this…. #ourfighter #pleasepray #love #thatsmileiseverything,” the 59-year-old Jenner/Kardashian matriarch wrote.

It appears that Lamar Odom is doing better. Much better, in fact. The NBA champion’s condition is improving day by day, much to the delight of the Kardashian clan, who have been constantly by his side since his admission to the hospital on October 13.

Khloe, who is separated from Lamar but is not legally divorced despite signing papers in July, is still one of his biggest supporters and is responsible for all medical decisions pertaining to him. Hours after he was admitted to the Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas after being found unconscious, she quickly traveled there to be with him and has rarely left the medical center.

The Kardashian family has continued to send messages of encouragement and prayer and have continually asked their millions of followers to join in on the support.

Meanwhile, there have been conflicting reports as to what exactly happened during Lamar Odom’s stay at the Love Ranch, which is located in Crystal, Nevada. Richard Hunter, Love Ranch media director, reportedly told news outlets that he found Odom in a perilous condition in a suite on Tuesday. He was notified of Odom’s condition after a female brothel employee had called for help upon finding the former NBA player unresponsive and leaking mucous from his nose and mouth.

“I throw that door open and he’s on the bed on his back,” Hunter recalled. “Even before I get to the bed, just coming through the doorway, obviously I know something was terribly wrong because this girl was hysterical. I hear him snoring louder than I’ve heard anybody snore in my life. It didn’t even sound like a snore. It sounded like a train going by or something so I knew that was a bad sign.”
