WWE News: Huge Update On The Rock’s Return To WWE, Big Changes To His ‘WrestleMania 32’ Opponent

The Rock has been quite the busy man in 2015. Not only has two big movies come out for him, but he also has his own HBO TV series as well as other movie projects upcoming, like the new Baywatch Film, which, by the way, we’re hoping to see Kelly Kelly in. Fingers crossed. The one thing that the Rock brings to the table wherever he goes is simply star power. He is put in a movie and every single time he is in it, you are guaranteed $50 million or better. The movie Snitch, only truly starring him, ended up doing this in a February…a February.

It is not a wonder that WWE wants to have him back all the time — who wouldn’t, really?

It should also come as no surprise that The Rock is set for WrestleMania 32. While he set up a match seemingly with Triple H at WrestleMania 31, it looks like that may not be the match WWE goes with knowing they can hold off on it for another year or two. According to Daily Wrestling News, Rock’s status for WrestleMania 32 is promising, and he may very well end up facing Brock Lesnar.

Rock HHH Steph

This match is something Vince McMahon has reportedly wanted to do for some time now, and we were rumored to see it at WrestleMania 30. Sadly, Rock had to have surgery after an injury in his match with John Cena at WrestleMania 29. This led to him having to start filming late for the movie Hercules, which also did well at the box office, and it also cost him time on other projects.

This meant that Rock could make appearances for WWE, but could certainly not do much more than this as he was too busy. He has appeared in segments with Rusev and Lana as well as made an appearance during the Royal Rumble this past January to help his cousin Roman Reigns against Big Show and Kane. So Rock never truly went away, as the appearances have continued, but the storylines for him have not been there simply because of time issues.

Now it looks as if he is free enough in his schedule to make an appearance at WrestleMania 32 in Dallas, Texas, and be on a number of WWE RAW broadcasts leading up to the event. It is thought that he could be back with WWE right after The Royal Rumble in January and may very well make on-and-off appearances from then until WrestleMania goes down.

Rock Ronda

It is thought that Vince wants this match right now more than any other for The Rock. It is said that Ronda Rousey has no way of being at WrestleMania to be involved in a major angle, so it would make sense to wait on The Rock vs Triple H until later on and go ahead with the big Rock vs Brock match.

Rock is said to be on board for either match WWE wants him to do, so it’s all a waiting game to know which one the company will go with.

Some believe that The Rock’s WrestleMania plans could change yet again, but due to Vince McMahon ordering a plan to be in place for Rock and Brock, things probably won’t change. Vince rarely changes direction after he orders plans to be ready for storyline, so it would be a rare turn that would have to shake him for sure.

It is said that Vince McMahon has still not fully carved out a plan for the entire WrestleMania 32 card yet. It is unusual for him not to have all the big matches in play by now, but it very well could be that the stress of low television ratings has been on his mind and has his full attention right now. While rumors claim that Roman Reigns is once again set for the main event, it is unknown what type of match he will be in or against who as of this writing. Although there are strong rumors claiming the company may go with Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins vs Dean Ambrose for the WWE World Heavyweight Title to end the show as Vince is truly wanting to make an all-star card to sell out the AT&T Stadium.
