Porsha Williams is not pregnant, but a seemingly confusing Instagram picture fooled many into thinking the Real Housewives of Atlanta star is expecting.

Porsha has actually been the center of a number of pregnancy rumors in recent weeks, so when fans opened her Instagram page to see a picture that appeared to show Porsha holding her baby bump, the rumors kicked into high gear.

To many fans, the pictures appeared to be confirmation that Porsha Williams is pregnant, and actually quite a ways along. The picture showed off a good-sized baby bump, one that would be difficult to hide.

But fans who looked a bit closer — or bothered to read Porsha’s captions — would know that it was really her younger (and seemingly look-alike) sister who is pregnant.

The timing of Porsha’s pregnancy announcement could have some fellow Real Housewives riled up. As Celeb Dirty Laundry explains, Porsha’s sister is due at around the same time as Kandi Burruss, and the confusion of the announcement didn’t go over well with Kandi.

There have actually been rumors circulating for some time that Porsha Williams is pregnant. Reports that emerged a few weeks ago indicated that the Real Housewives of Atlanta star has been hiding a baby bump around that time she had split with her boyfriend, Buffalo Bills safety Duke Williams, and some believed she was trying to keep the pregnancy a secret.

Radar Online shot the rumor down, quoting a source close to Porsha who said she was most definitely not pregnant.

“[Porsha Williams] had a good laugh about that,” a friend told Radar. “The stories are completely untrue.”

The pregnancy could have been a scary one. Porsha had just gotten into a fight with co-star Cynthia Bailey, who reportedly kicked Porsha in the stomach.

“No one really knows what the arguments was about, but Cynthia lashed out and kicked [Porsha Williams] in the stomach while wearing heels!” a show insider told Radar Online in August.

The pregnancy rumors show that Porsha Williams remains a popular target for rumors. The Real Housewives of Atlanta saw her marriage to former NFL player Kordell Stewart fall apart on national television, and the divorce proceedings were just as public.

During that spat, Porsha leveled an accusation that Stewart may have been secretly gay.

“There were definitely times in the marriage that Kordell didn’t necessarily want me, physically, and that made me wonder, what does he want?” she said.

Sources said that Porsha had fears even before the two were married, but that Kordell assured her that he was not gay and was in love with her.

After her allegation, Kordell lashed out and once again denied the rumors, calling out Porsha for seemingly spreading lies.

“I’m very ashamed of my wife for saying something that she knows is not true at all,” he said in a statement about his sexuality. “The rumors have never been true. I’m not gay.”
