Kourtney Kardashian Speaks Out, Shows Support For Lamar Odom
Kourtney Kardashian has spoken out in support of Lamar Odom. Now the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star is dropping all of her mommy duties to support the former NBA star who’s fighting for his life in a Las Vegas hospital.
Kanye West is taking the roles of both mommy and daddy as his wife Kim Kardashian and sister-in-law Kourtney Kardashian stay by Lamar Odom’s side. The rapper was seen taking care of North West, 2, along with Kourtney’s three children, Mason, Penelope, and Reign Disick.
Kourtney will need the extra hands since her ex-boyfriend Scott Disick has entered rehab last weekend, according to several reports. He couldn’t be by Lamar Odom’s side nor could he look after their three children. An alleged source told the Hollywood Life that Kanye doesn’t mind taking care of Kourtney’s kids.
“Kanye has really stepped up to the plate. He’s been at home taking care of the kids while Kim and Kourtney and Kris do what they need to do for Khloe and Lamar. He told them he can hold it down with the kids, that they don’t need to worry.”
Before flying down to Las Vegas to join Khloe Kardashian at Odom’s beside, she tweeted this inspirational message: “Believing in the power of prayer for this beautiful soul.” Kourtney also took to Instagram to post this throwback photo of Lamar holding her son Mason during happier times.
After she took Penelope Disick and North West to dance class on Wednesday morning, the oldest Kardashian sister dropped everything to be by Odom’s side along with her family. An inside source told celebrity blogger Perez Hilton that she looked stressed out during dance class. “Kourtney looked tense and hurried the kids home after the class,” the alleged insider added.
It’s no surprise that Kourtney Kardashian would be distraught at a time like this. She could be seeing the similarities between Khloe’s estranged husband and her ex-boyfriend Scott Disick, who’s currently staying at a drug rehab center in Malibu, according to another report via Us Weekly.
This news was confirmed just hours after news broke that Lamar Odom was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel on Tuesday, Oct. 13. According to the brothel’s spokesperson, the former Lakers player was allegedly taking cocaine and herbal Viagra during his stay.
Kourtney and Scott split over the summer. Prior to their shocking breakup, the reality star briefly checked into a Costa Rican rehab for hallucinogenic treatment, and checked into a Florida rehab in July after he was seen partying around the globe with various women.
Scott Disick isn’t the only one who wants help. Lamar Odom’s serious condition has inspired Kourtney Kardashian to seek help for her ex-boyfriend.
“What has happened to Lamar has frightened Kourtney and she is now seeing clear that she needs to get Scott help so her children still have a daddy for a very long time.”
Although the two have split up this past summer, it’s clear that Kardashian wants Disick to battle his demons for the sake of their children.
More details about Kourtney and Scott’s split will come to light in Season 11 of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. In an extended promo clip for the E! series, Scott is seeing crying as he opens up to the Kardashian-Jenner clan about his addiction. He also admits that he made the “worst decision” in his life.
The clip also shows Kourtney Kardashian choking up as she addresses him on his demons. “You forget what happens when you’re on a binge.”
In Sunday night’s episode, she breaks down when she admits how she felt when she saw the photos of Disick flirting with his former girlfriend in Monte Carlo back in July.
“When I wake up, I feel sick. I’m just literally on the verge of, like, a mental breakdown.”
Kourtney Kardashian looked particularly distraught when she was seen entering the hospital with Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian-West. Hopefully for her ex’s sake, he’ll battle his own addiction so he doesn’t face the same fate as Lamar Odom.
