New Fall Out Boy And Demi Lovato Collab Is Bound To Be Irresistible

Surprise! Fall Out Boy is re-releasing their single, “Irresistible,” and Demi Lovato has taken over for lead singer Patrick Stump on vocals.

Fall Out Boy has announced that tomorrow, October 16, the remastered version of “Irresistible” will be released. The quartet states that the tune will be the next single off their 2015 album, titled American Beauty/American Psycho. Artwork for the single was tweeted by Fall Out Boy yesterday afternoon.

Pete Wentz, bassist for Fall Out Boy, took to his blog to let fans know to expect to see “Irresistible” soon, declaring that he always knew the tune “always felt like it could become something else, something exciting, strange, beyond.”

“I think Demi Lovato has one of the most powerful voices today. So we worked through an afternoon and she just got it. Excited for you guys to hear this new version of the song on Friday.”

“Irresistible” isn’t a new release, as Fall Out Boy fans know. “Irresistible,” which is the opening track on Fall Out Boy’s sixth studio album, was first introduced in January of this year.

The remix isn’t the only trick Fall Out Boy has up their sleeves: they are also teaming up with AWOLNATION and PVRIS for a 20-date tour across North America. The tour, titled “Wintour Is Coming,” will begin in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on February 25, 2016. The tour lasts approximately a month, with it wrapping up on March 26, 2016 in Irvine, California. Wentz also hinted toward “Wintour Is Coming” being the end of Fall Out Boy’s venture to promote American Beauty/American Psycho, stating that the tour “will end the story.”

“It will give us all the chance to work through it and become who we are supposed to be.”

Pre-sale tickets for “Wintour Is Coming” went on sale yesterday, and you could only receive the pre-sale order code by signing up for the Fall Out Boy mailing list before 11:59 p.m. Eastern Tuesday night.

General sale tickets will be on sale tomorrow, Friday, October 16. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster, and dates will be listed at the end of this article, so get your calendars ready.

As if this wasn’t enough to make this the best week ever for Fall Out Boy, it was also announced on Tuesday that the band has been given an American Music Awards nod for the Favorite Alternative Artist category. Voting is open, by the way, so feel free to head to the American Music Awards voting page if you would like to vote for any of the artists nominated, including Fall Out Boy.

Fall Out Boy, who hails from the Chicago area, played the Illinois State Fair in August, as well.

Demi Lovato has a star power all her own, and her newest album, Confident, releases tomorrow. Aside from her coming together with Fall Out Boy for “Irresistible,” Lovato has released the video for the single “Confident,” and is working on taking her cosmetic line, Devonne by Demi, worldwide. On October 20, Lovato will perform live in Brazil, and the show will be streamed live, courtesy of VEVO Brazil.

Lovato is also appearing on From Dusk Till Dawn, a horror series airing on Robert Rodriguez’s El Rey network. Her boyfriend of five years, Wilmer Valderrama, also stars in the series.

Recently, Lovato spoke to MSNBC’s Tamron Hall about her battle with bipolar disorder, as part of her “Be Vocal: Speak Up For Mental Health” campaign.
