Chrissy Teigen Finally Pregnant Just Weeks After Revealing Conception Struggles, Co-Host Tyra Banks ‘Upset’?
Congratulations are in order for model Chrissy Teigen and her husband, musician John Legend, as they will soon become parents.
Teigen, 29, took to Instagram on Monday and shared the big news.
“John and I are so happy to announce that we are pregnant,” posted the FABLife host, together with a touching black-and-white image of herself and her husband. “As many of you know, we’ve been trying to have a baby for a while now. It hasn’t been easy, but we kept trying because we can’t wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family,” she added.
The great news came just weeks after Teigen revealed on the show that she was trying to have children. The effort had apparently become a “process” for her and her award-winning musician husband. While chatting with co-host Tyra Banks, the Sports Illustrated model shared her emotions whenever people ask her when they will have a baby.
“Any time somebody asks me if I’m going to have kids, I just am like, one day you’re going to ask that to the wrong girl who is really struggling, and it’s going to be really hurtful to them, and I hate that,” she added.
John Legend, 36, and Teigen have been together for more than seven years, since they first met on the set of Legend’s video, “Stereo” in 2007. The two were engaged four years later, and they married in 2013. Since then, people around them have reportedly been asking them when they are going to have children. “So I hate it, stop asking me.”
Meanwhile, Tyra Banks became emotional as well, as she revealed that she “desperately” wanted a child, but she has been unable to have a family.

Fortunately, it did not take long for Teigen to conceive right after the emotional reveal.
The report added that the Lip Sync Battle commentator said she is already prepared and looking forward to “all the belly touching.” In addition to that, she also tweeted that she is excited to undergo the usual experiences that pregnant women face.
“I am so excited I could barf 4-5 times a day,” the model added.
Through the two years of finding ways to conceive their first child, Teigen also revealed that she and Legend have gone to several fertility doctors to look for help. She has also tried IVF, although it hasn’t been working for her then.
Fortunately, both Teigen and Legend have been successful in keeping their problem a secret to the public until the female host brought it up last month.
In the interview, she mentioned that, while she has a group of around 60 people who know about the situation, and her husband has hundreds more, they were able to keep it from coming out until her interview.
Right after making the announcement on Monday, Teigen was seen with her hubby at the La Mer Celebration of an Icon event in Hollywood on Tuesday night.
The swimsuit model was all smiles, and Teigen was seen wearing a white dress that subtly showed her new curves. She finished it off with a black clutch, and silver heels.

While Teigen and Legend are both happy now as expecting parents, her FABLife co-host, Banks, was reportedly upset.
In an exclusive by Hollywood Life, a source said that, although Banks is thrilled for her co-host, she would have wanted her to share the big news on the show, and not on social media, in order to increase its ratings.
However, because the announcement has already been made, Banks only hopes that “everyone will follow Chrissy Teigen’s journey on the show instead,” said the insider.
