Taylor Swift Breakup Rumors: Calvin Harris Predicted This Would Happen

Taylor Swift’s relationships would have to be some of the most talked about relationships in all of Hollywood. And ever since the blonde bombshell has started dating Calvin Harris, rumours have continued to cycle about relationship problems between the two music superstars.

Indeed, over the past few days, the rumor mill has been running wild again that Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris have split for good, yet People has reported that this is just plain not true. According to their source, Taylor Swift and her beau are “happy and going strong.”

We needn’t take the word of an unidentified source for it now, though, as Calvin Harris has finally broken his silence by publishing a tweet that seemed to be intended to put all of these rumours to rest.

Now, excuse our ignorance, but what does this Twitter message actually mean?

Is Calvin simply quoting lyrics from Taylor Swift’s song “White Horse”?

“I had so many dreams
About you and me
Happy endings
Now I know”

According to Billboard, no, not exactly. Apparently, the rumor is that Taylor Swift ended the relationship after Calvin visited a Thai massage parlor and received a “happy ending” from a masseuse.

So now we know Calvin’s take on the whole scandal, what does Taylor Swift have to say? She has been silent on the whole issue so far, except that she did favourite Calvin’s tweet, suggesting that she supports what he has said.

Taylor Swift has been infuriatingly silent otherwise, so we have had to turn to her and Calvin’s Twitter activity for some clues as to what the Hollywood power couple are thinking.

What we do know is that a fan posted photos of Taylor Swift adorning the covers of popular magazines, with the comment suggesting that Calvin is “a lucky dude” to be dating Taylor Swift.

Calvin favourited the tweet, although that just left some fans more frustrated than anything else.

The next day, Taylor Swift herself published an image of one of her upcoming magazine covers for GQ Magazine, and Calvin favorited this tweet, too.

Selena Gomez has weighed in on the whole Taylor Swift breakup rumor issue, calling the whole thing “stupid.”

As People reported, Selena was questioned about Taylor Swift’s current relationship status when she was interviewed by Andy Cohen on his SiriusXM radio program.

The question was put to her bluntly, and Selena seemed to have no idea what Cohen was referring to.

“Calvin Harris. Broken up or not?”

After clarifying that Taylor Swift’s alleged breakup is a trending rumor all over the Internet, Selena (who has had her fair share of false and sometimes cruel rumours started about her) reacted in anger.

“Oh gosh, of course. But weren’t they like… oh gosh, this is honestly, it’s so stupid. I’m pregnant every week. She’s going to be pregnant. It’s so stupid. Like, you can’t really read that stuff.”

Unfortunately for Taylor Swift, rumors are always going to abound about her relationships, no matter how easily everything might be going. Back in July, 2015, Calvin spoke honestly with People about his then-new relationship with Taylor Swift, recognizing that there are always going to be people making up rumors and trying to cause trouble between the pair.

“It’s interesting because obviously there’s different things written about it every day and even if we don’t do anything publicly for a while, someone will make something up.”
