Josh Duggar Dumped By Anna? Duggar Family Rules Tell Wives To Obey, But Anna’s Brother Begs Her To Leave ‘Pig’ Josh
Like a country western song, Anna Duggar has stood by her man. But now, after Josh Duggar has first been in the news for molesting five underage girls, including several of his sisters, followed by revelations that he cheated on Anna with the Ashley Madison site for martial affairs and became addicted to viewing porn on the internet, Anna Duggar is reportedly considering divorce, according to Hollywood Life.
For Anna, the final allegation that Duggar had affairs with two different porn stars has made her feel horrified by what the man she thought she knew has done secretly.
“These new allegations have made her feel disgusting,” said an insider. “Anna is a loving woman and a devout Christian, but given what Josh has done, no one would be surprised if she decided she never wanted to see her [husband] again.”
The couple has four young children, and they are asking Anna about their missing father.
However, the insider revealed that Duggar wasn’t much of a presence previously, with Anna left alone as the key parent in their young lives.
Can Anna divorce her husband if her religious upbringing forbids it? Her siblings are urging her to leave, and she has spent time with her family in Florida for perspective.
“Her siblings wants her to leave and are hoping her time in Florida will help give her clarity. [Anna] is really starting to believe that divorce is the only option.”
But what do Michelle Duggar and Jim Bob Duggar think of this plan, and how does 19 Kids and Counting view the responsibilities of a wife when it comes to marriage? The matriarch of the Duggar family gave her views in a blog post, “Marriage Advice For Newlyweds,” reported the Hollywood Gossip.
Did she mention Anna? Not exactly, but Michelle did very clearly reveal what the Duggars view as the correct way for a wife to behave.
“You are the only one who can meet that special need that he has in his life for intimacy. You’re it. You’re the only one….He needs you,” wrote Michelle.
But is it all one-sided? Michelle promises that if a wife is always available to her husband, he will meet her needs. In addition, she suggests marriage counseling if problems crop up. No mention of what to do if those problems involve infidelity and porn addiction (for which her son is currently in a Bible-based rehab).
As for what the 19 Kids And Counting clan learned when they were raised, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar believed in the traditional family model prescribed by the religious right, according to Raw Story.
That means men reign as patriarchs, while women are taught to help their men. Within the hierarchy that the Duggars believe, children obey their parents, wives obey their husbands, and husbands follow God’s rules.
Anna Duggar has been immersed in Duggarville for years and now believes those same marital rules, as the Inquisitr reported.
“She doesn’t get mad,” shared a source close to the Duggar family. “You are not allowed to get mad. It’s not godly for a woman.”
Moreover, the insider said that Anna has even started to talk like Michelle, keeping her voice low and soft so that it sounds like she’s almost whispering, just as Michelle speaks to her husband, Jim Bob.
But despite that influence, Anna’s brother Daniel Keller hopes to persuade his sister to leave Josh, reported People.
Daniel revealed that he offered to pay for Anna and the children to move to where he lives, adding that he thinks only that move will force her husband to realize the significance of his actions.
“I don’t think josh will see that this is a big deal and be truly broken till that happens,” predicted Keller on social media. “I told her I would go get her and her children stay w me. She said she’s staying where she’s at. But I won’t stop trying to get that pig out of our family.”
