Amber Rose And Blac Chyna's Reality Show Given The Axe -- Is Their Friendship Over?

Bad news for fans of models and entrepreneurs Amber Rose and Blac Chyna. The self-proclaimed besties have put their joint reality show on hold indefinitely.

According to TMZ, Amber Rose and Blac Chyna pumped the brakes on their joint reality show, because both women are too busy with other things to commit to filming. TMZ broke the news of the now-defunct reality show in August, 2015. According to reports, the show intended to focus on Blac Chyna and Amber Rose's friendship as they juggled life as working single moms. What could be more important that taking the reality television plunge?

Well, Amber Rose is days away from becoming a published author. Her first book, How to Be a Bad B***h, drops October 27. According to Amazon, Rose's book will take readers through her journey from the tough Philadelphia neighborhood in which she grew up, through her success as a model and brand spokeswoman. The book will also give readers tips on how they can achieve their own success in career, love, and life. How to Be a Bad B***h is still in pre-order, but it's already ranked 45th on the Amazon style and clothing bestseller list, and is in the top 1,000 of all Amazon self-help books.

Rose's work on How to Be a Bad B***h is just beginning. Following the release, Rose has a four appearances scheduled to promote How to Be a Bad B***h, including an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. Fans in Philadelphia can meet Amber Rose and have her sign their copy of her book on October 27. Rose's fans in Los Angeles will have their chance on October 29. If the book is a success, there are likely more promotional appearances in Amber Rose's future. The book and short book tour may be great for her career, but neither are likely to generate reality television gold for Amber Rose.

Blac Chyna's schedule is just as jam packed as Amber Rose's. In between her steamy selfies, Blac Chyna recently made an Instagram post looking for new employees to staff her store, Lashed by Blac Chyna. Blac Chyna is seeking estheticians, makeup artists, eyebrow threaders, waxing specialists, body wrap specialists, and, of course, lash extension experts. It's not clear whether Lashed by Blac Chyna is expanding, or just replacing employees.

Blac Chyna's love life is heating up, too. According to Bossip, eyewitnesses spotted Blac Chyna and rapper Future in the famed Atlanta strip club, Magic City, over the weekend. Reportedly, Future is in town for the BET Hip Hop Awards, and Blac Chyna is there to support him. The BET Hip Hop Awards air on October 13, but were taped on October 9, and Blac Chyna's Instagram history suggests that she didn't travel to Atlanta until the day after the awards were taped. So, don't expect photographs of Blac Chyna and Future walking the green carpet. Still, the eyewitness accounts have fuelled continued speculation that Future and Blac Chyna are a couple.

And that might be part of the problem.

Earlier in October, speculation ran wild that Blac Chyna and Amber Rose's friendship was on the rocks. It seems that Blac Chyna didn't help promote Rose's SlutWalk event, and didn't attend the event, either. Instead, Blac Chyna was across the country hanging out with Future. With the cancellation of their reality show happening so soon after the SlutWalk, it hasn't taken some fans long to conclude that Amber is hurt and angry that her best friend wasn't there to support her.

Of course, it's also possible that both women just lost interest in the project. According to the initial TMZ report, Amber Rose is trying to launch her own talk show, and if How to Be a Bad B***h proves a success, now might be the best time for her to finally realize that dream. And with things going so well in both women's lives, and their feuds with ex-boyfriends and their girlfriends apparently settled, there might not be enough drama to carry a reality show.
