Corey Simms Disses Leah Messer, Claims ‘Teen Mom 2’ Star Can’t Keep A Husband

Corey Simms and his wife, Miranda, flew to Los Angeles in July, where they filmed the Teen Mom 2 reunion special with Corey Simms’ ex-wife, Leah Messer. And following a dramatic season six of the MTV series, the reunion special was just as action-packed as fans would expect. In addition to Messer insinuating Corey Simms hadn’t been faithful to his wife, he took aim at her inability to keep a husband.

In a Teen Mom 2 season six reunion sneak peek, shared by Wetpaint Entertainment on October 1, Corey Simms claims Messer “can’t keep a husband for more than two years.”

Corey Simms married Messer in late 2010, but split in 2011 due to Messer’s revelation of having cheated on him just before walking down the aisle. Then, in 2012, Messer married Jeremy Calvert, but by late 2012, he had accused her of cheating on him. From her two marriages, Messer has three children, twins Ali and Aleeah, 5, with Corey Simms, and daughter Adalynn, 2, with Calvert.

Corey Simms and Messer were seen at odds throughout season 6 of Teen Mom 2. During the first couple of episodes, Corey Simms and his ex-wife were going through court proceedings, which included a drug test for Messer. Although the only thing Messer was using at the time were prescription pain pills, Corey Simms felt she was abusing them, and during a conversation with her and his wife, Corey Simms accused her of hiding a drug problem. Corey Simms also told Calvert he feared for his daughter’s safety with her driving.

Corey Simms and Calvert didn’t always get along, but during the recently-wrapped season of the show, they were seen communicating with one another. During a scene in a restaurant, Corey Simms and Calvert spoke of Messer’s alleged drug problem (Calvert called it a “prescription pill problem”), and their concern for their children. They also said if it were one of them who was in her shoes, they would never see their kids.

As a result of his allegations against Messer, Corey Simms faced backlash from fans online, but in late August, he defended himself and his wife, Miranda, claiming they had good reason to believe Messer was possibly abusing drugs.

“Idk why I’m tweeting this because I honestly do not care what people think or what they say about me but anyways. There is a reason for everything that Miranda and myself have said or done. We simply want the girls to grow up in a safe and healthy environment. There is a lot of things that has been told to us by very close members of her family that lead us to believe the things being told are very much true. If we didn’t care about the girls or the situation we would obviously not have anything to say or do about it.”

Corey Simms and Messer appear to remain at odds over the custody of their two daughters. While Messer attempted to meet with Corey Simms during the finale episode of Teen Mom 2 season six, she ultimately opted out of their scheduled chat due to Corey Simms’ wife, Miranda, being present. According to Messer, Miranda shouldn’t have been there, but according to Miranda, she is a big part of the girls’ life and should be respected as their stepmother.

Corey Simms’ wife, Miranda, is currently pregnant with his third child, the first for Miranda.
