Kristen Stewart And Robert Pattinson Reuniting For New Movie? ‘Twilight’ Costars Ignite Rumors
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart may be busy promoting their new films, Life and Equals, respectively, but are the former Twilight co-stars reuniting onscreen for a new movie?
While rumors of a Twilight reunion for Stewart and Pattinson have been dispelled by sources close to the former couple, new rumors are beginning to suggest that Kristen and Rob may team up once more for a new, undisclosed film project in the near future.
According to the tabloid rumors via Gossip Cop, Stewart and Pattinson “look like they might finally get back together on screen” despite Kristen and Rob’s hectic filming schedule for other projects.
The report goes on to quote an alleged source close to Stewart and Pattinson, who explains that neither Kristen nor Rob have had success in their other movie projects since starring in the Twilight film franchise.
The source explains, “Both have had little to no career success since they split. Now agents for both of them are looking for a project for them to star in together.”
The insider further notes that both Stewart and Pattinson are in need of a “big hit” in the box office, further solidifying the duo’s alleged reasoning for wanting to team up for a new venture.
Despite the claims, Gossip Cop reached out to reps for both Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson who vehemently denied the rumors, explaining that any reports pointing towards an onscreen reunion for Pattinson and Stewart are “absurd.”
The news comes on the heels of rumors that suggest Kristen and Rob are preparing to team up for another Twilight film.
When asked to reflect on the success of Twilight and how it has affected their respective careers, both Pattinson and Stewart have been vocal about their gratitude for the opportunities the film franchise provided them, but both actors have denied involvement in a Twilight reboot movie.
In a candid interview with NME, Robert Pattinson recently reflected on the downside of fame stemming from his portrayal of Edward Cullen in the Twilight series.
When asked how superstardom has affected his life, Rob admits that the fame “drove [him] crazy” and prevented him from going out to public places, like the supermarket, for “six years.”
Similarly, Kristen Stewart recently opened up about the possibility of a Twilight reboot in an interview with Uproxx, telling reporters that while she’s grateful for the impact Twilight has had on her career thus far, she wouldn’t be on board to play a part in the project.
When asked if she “cares” that Twilight may be rebooted, Stewart asks, “Are they saying that they have to redo them? Like, we have to do them again?” before revealing that while she “loved” acting in the film franchise, she has since moved on in her career.
“It’s hard to speak to a five-year period in a few sentences, but I loved doing it. But that doesn’t mean I want to keep doing it. But if other people? Yeah, sure. To be honest with you, I would be interested. I’d be kind of fascinated, but it wouldn’t emotionally affect me one way or the other.”
While rumors continue to tie Stewart and Pattinson together for future movies, both Rob and Kristen are busy with their own film projects.
Currently, Robert Pattinson is busy filming in Northern Ireland for Brad Pitt’s new movie, The Lost City of Z, and promoting his new film, Life, while Kristen Stewart continues to promote her new comedy movie, American Ultra, alongside costar Jesse Eisenberg, and Equals, alongside Nicholas Hoult.
