Pink proved on Friday that she still looks fantastic, even when she is hooked up to an IV at the hospital. The singer was hospitalized after contracting a bad bout of the stomach flu.

The picture, which the singer uploaded via Instagram on Friday, came with the following caption:

“Maybe it’s cause my mom was an ER nurse all my life- but throw me in a gown and a hook me up to an IV- and I’m a happy girl. Stomach flu sucks but morphine doesn’t.”

Idolator notes that Pink’s health trouble comes shortly after celebrating her first Mother’s Day with husband Carey Hart and their daughter Willow Sage.

The pop-R&B singer told E! that she and hubby Carey are hoping to have more kids. She also teased that she is working on a new album, her sixth and first since 2010’s “Greatest Hits…So Far!!!” She has also expressed interest in creating other kinds of material, but assured fans:

“I promised my fans I wouldn’t write an album full of lullabies…So I’m swallowing that as we speak.”

AZCentral notes that Pink’s fans were quick to wish the singer a speedy recovery, and also to ask why she would have morphine for a stomach flu. She quickly clarified on Twitter that:

Thanks for all the get well wishes. And no-they don’t give morphine for flu. I might have ulcers again. Because I care too much. It’s a gift.”

The singer’s mother, Judith Moore, worked as a nurse in their hometown of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, throughout Pink’s childhood, according to Digital Spy, making the star no stranger to the emergency room, although this time’s stint was as a patient.

Pink has not yet talked about an anticipated release date for her new album.
