WrestleMania 32 is still months and months away, but there is so much speculation as to what could happen at the event. One of the biggest rumors swirling is that Brock Lesnar will take on “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, but that has been shot down time and time again. Even if a match doesn’t end up happening between the two superstars, it does appear as though something big is coming later in October, and a major angle is on the way.
On October 19, WWE has planned a huge evening for the Hell in a Cell go-home Monday Night Raw. Brock Lesnar’s “Go to Hell Tour” is going to take place on Raw, and it’s been revealed by WWE.com that The Undertaker has since been added to that show.
While this will be a huge Raw on October 19, it’s what will take place after the action in the ring that many are looking forward to.
The Stone Cold Podcast will take place, and Steve Austin will have a huge guest in none other than Brock Lesnar, the “Beast Incarnate.” Everyone will be watching the WWE Network to see what happens on this podcast because so many rumors have been flying around.
Recently, Austin actually took to his Twitter account to essentially let the world know that his name can be taken out of the rumor mill.
“You can take my name off the rumor mill as a Brock Lesnar opponent at WM32. Bulls**t reporting.”
That should have ended all speculation about that whole thing since Stone Cold came out so serious and straight to the point. Still, it didn’t squash things but actually made the rumor flare up even more.
The Wrestling Observer, via WrestleZone, is stating that there is going to be a “major angle” happening during the Stone Cold Podcast on October 19 after Raw. Some backstage in WWE are saying that the major angle is going to be shot on that live podcast between Brock Lesnar and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.
It isn’t known if this will involve the setup for a match between the two in the future or something else entirely. Austin has long said he is going to be at WrestleMania 32 in Texas, but he didn’t say what he would be doing there.
It could be a match, or it could be Austin is simply involved in an angle that includes Lesnar or someone else.
Austin has said on a number of occasions that he is in the best shape of his life right now, and one more WWE match is not out of the question. Other than that, there has been no advancement on another match for the Rattlesnake, and it’s not known if it will ever happen.
All of the talk of a match between Austin and Lesnar got started when Paul Heyman was a guest on the Stone Cold Podcast months ago. The two had some great back and forth, and Austin even cut an old-school promo, but he has since said he was simply playing around and it meant nothing.
The world will know a lot more about what may happen between “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Brock Lesnar once the Stone Cold Podcast on October 19 takes place. There could be a major angle shot or it could just be all talk, but you can be sure that fans are going to tune into the podcast in record numbers.
