Fans have been wondering Austin Mahone’s dating status for some time. The “Dirty Work” singer has been flirting with his share of ladies for the past few months.
That hasn’t stopped Austin Mahone’s fans from wondering if he’s dating up-and-coming singer Brie Angellina, or his ex-girlfriend, Becky G. Mahone had his fans talking when he shared a cute and flirty video message to Brie Angellina on Instagram. He sent a video of himself singing along to “Thinkin’ Bout You” with the caption: “@brieangellina right back at you.”
It all started when she shared an Instagram video of herself singing along to the Frank Ocean song. She captioned the video, “the only thing I’m looking at is my hair stuck on my lashes…..anyway happy #laborday and #MusicMonday here’s a quick #cover of @frankoceanmusic #ThinkingAboutYou”
It caused rumors to swirl that Austin and Brie were romantically involved! The brunette beauty revealed to J-14 Magazine that she’s just friends with the “Mmm Yeah” singer.
“It was simply, he liked the song too and he covered it too. It was just that. We’re friends. We actually met years ago, and then after I met him, that’s when I was cast in his ‘Say Something’ music video as one of the cheerleaders. We’ve been friends ever since. No, we’re not dating. We’re just friends.”
Well, that settles those dating rumors then. But that doesn’t mean that Brie Angellina isn’t open to collaborating with Austin Mahone sometime in the near future.
“I think he’s so talented, and I really think if we do collaborate in the future, it would be a really cool vibe. His sound right now is so cool.”
Since Brie and Austin aren’t an item, does that mean he’s back with his ex, Becky G? The couple may not be over after all, as reports claim that they’re still flirting with each other on social media. Reports broke that Austin and Becky split in early August due to their hectic schedules. Austin even confirmed to Twist Magazine that he’s a single man these days. When asked about his relationship status, Austin simply answered by saying, “Yeah, we broke up, but it’s all good.”
However, a recent photo shared on Instagram on September 23 shows that Austin Mahone and Becky G may have reunited. The couple’s mutual friend, Zach Dorsey, shared this photo with the caption: “Tribal 3 is back.” The black-and-white photo shows Austin and Becky G hanging out backstage at one of her concerts, according to a J-14 report.
Several days later, the “Shower” singer took to Twitter to share this sweet message , which made some fans think that she was talking about Mahone. The singer hinted that she appreciates him more now that she’s spent some time apart from him.
It also doesn’t help the fact that the Latina singer has been sharing several cryptic quotes and messages on her Instagram account, which has her fans thinking she’s talking about Austin Mahone. On September 18, Becky shared the above photo that reads, “You want to come in my life, the door is open. You want to get out of my life, the door is open. Just one request. Don’t stand at the door, you’re blocking the traffic.”
Weeks before Becky posted this cryptic message, Austin revealed the type of woman he’s looking for.
“It’s definitely tough [dating] because you’re in the eye of the people. But I just look for someone that can make great food, someone that is a little shorter than me, and someone that loves music as much as I do.”
Sounds like Austin is looking for a girl like Becky G. Hopefully their romance doesn’t go the way of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez’s on-again, off-again relationship.
