Omarion Expecting Second Child, Confirms It’s A Girl With Ultrasound

Singer Omarion is expecting his second child with his girlfriend Apryl Jones — and it’s a girl!

The 30-year-old singer confirmed the news on his official Instagram page Tuesday with a recording of footage from Apryl’s ultrasound.

“My lil princess is on the way.”

Omarion even used a clever hashtag to reveal just how far along his girlfriend is with the pregnancy, claiming that Apryl is “5 months preggo.” The “Post to Be” singer shared the same clip on Twitter along with two trophy emojis next to the number 2 representing his two children.

Omarion may have also been talking about his future daughter with a tweet posted Wednesday that referenced a popular lyric from the Big Sean hit single “Blessings.”

Apryl Jones also used Instagram to show off her large baby bump in addition to a great shot of the couple’s first child, Megaa, along with it.

In an interview with Vibe magazine earlier this month, Omarion opened up about what his experience in fatherhood has taught him so far.

“It’s probably the most selfless thing that can happen to anyone in our position. Growing up in the game, you are taught that you have to make certain harsh decisions and a lot of the time, they are selfish because you want to obtain a certain level [of success]. But when you have a child–well, for me–that all goes away. It’s almost like it ain’t even about you anymore. It’s really about feeding your child.”

Apparently, Omarion and Apryl Jones wanted to keep this pregnancy under wraps for as long as possible. During his interview with Vibe, he did not mention anything about it.

Even when he was directly asked if he was “up to sealing the deal with another newborn anytime soon,” Omarion reportedly responded by laughing and saying, “That would be nice to have a child again.”

Quite a few fans shared their positive thoughts and congratulations with Omarion and Apryl Jones via Twitter after they broke the news about their newest bun in the oven.

Omarion and Apryl Jones welcomed their first child, Megaa Omari, into the world in August 2014.

In addition to preparing for the new addition to his family, the I’m Up singer is also getting ready for the upcoming release of his next album.

According to Music Times, Omarion has high hopes for his fifth studio album Reasons which is currently set for an October 23 release date. He claims that it is “the biggest record” that he has had so far and that it was “completely unexpected.”

“This is just a different body of work. This is me in my transformation phase coming off of ‘Post To Be’ and Sex Playlist. Sex Playlist was like the birth of creation. I think it’s my most important albums because prior to ‘Post To Be’ and its success, a lot of people were sleep.”

Currently on tour with frequent collaborator Chris Brown, Omarion is also featured along with his girlfriend in the world of reality television thanks to the success of Love and Hip-Hop Hollywood on VH1.
