Dr. Ruth Launches Line Of Wines, Cuts Alcohol Content In Half

Dr. Ruth Westheimer is famous for her late night talk show that centers around better our sex lives and now the doctor is getting into the wine business.

Dr. Ruth on Wednesday announced her very own line of wine that offers a lower-alcohol content than traditional wines.

Talking to the New York Post Dr. Ruth explains of her motivation behind the product:

“I’m always saying couples should drink to relax, but not too much. If [the woman] drinks too much, she falls asleep and if [the man] drinks too much, he can’t perform.”

Buyers will be happy to know that Dr. Ruth’s Vin d’Amoure which features her face on the label is being sold in stores for the cheap price of $7.99 to $9.99 and will be available by early July.

Each bottle of wine contains just 6% alcohol compared to 13% for the average bottle of wine.

The fine doctor turns 84-years-old next week and in talking about her new wine she says:

“My idea is that just the right amount [of alcohol] will awaken your senses and arouse you.”

While she is known for her late night sex show Dr. Rush has been striking it big once again lately with a new sex book, a BBC documentary and a one-woman play about her life.

If you can’t get enough of Dr. Rush she’ll also be doing an upcoming stint at Columbia University’s Teacher’s College.
