Is Jessica Simpson going to rehab? She might. According to Radar Online , husband Eric Johnson is giving her an ultimatum that might make her check into a facility.
As many know, Simpson appeared “drunk” during her HSN appearance, which got a lot of people raising their eyebrows due to her disheveled appearance and slurred speech. Apparently, that’s only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Simpson and her alleged problems.
According to a source who spoke to Radar Online , Simpson’s husband wants to take their children, Maxwell, 3, and Ace, 2, away from her if she doesn’t seek help for her problems.
“Things reached a climax in early May, when Eric told Jess he has had enough and issued his ultimatum. He is worried sick that Jess’ conduct is going to start affecting their two children and that their oldest is starting to realize there’s something wrong with mommy.”
In Touch also reported this news as well. A source told In Touch about Jessica Simpson’s condition, “She’s taking Adderall and anti-anxiety pills. And on top of that, she drinks.” It’s said her appearance on HSN was “a huge wakeup call.”
The source continued, “They’ve known for a while that she has a problem, but this was a huge wakeup call. Whenever they’ve talked about it in the past, Jessica would deny it — and since she supports everyone financially, no one pushed her.” It’s said that the family is looking into in-patient facilities for Jessica.
Since the HSN appearance, Jessica Simpson has stayed silent on the matter. In the wake of the controversy, HSN president Bill Brand denied that Simpson was drunk on air. Of the singer-turned-fashion designer, Brand said, “Of course she wasn’t drunk. She was a top notch professional…She was here. She was thrilled to be here. I can tell you our team loved working with her.”
During the segment, many saw a very “giggly” Simpson , who “wobbled on her feet and slurred her words at certain points” while promoting the 10th anniversary of her fashion collection.
At one point, singer rambled on about her sister Ashlee and her brother-in-law Evan Ross, while introducing her “Kiss Me” skinny jeans. “Ashlee is like the best at wearing gray. My sister. Like, she’s very rock ‘n’ roll, but there’s something about a gray that’s, like, sexy. Maybe it’s her and her husband [Evan Ross], they share jeans, I have no idea. I don’t know. There’s just something hot about them.”
Despite her odd appearance, Jessica wound up selling all of the jeans in her line.
