50 Cent Fires Consultant Over KKK Photo, Consultant Says He’s Not Racist

Rapper 50 Cent is going through courtroom drama again. This time it revolves around a consultant, a reality show, and a picture of the KKK.

In a recent lawsuit, 50 Cent is claiming that he fired a guy he’d hired to work on TV projects for him because the consultant sent a picture of the KKK to another member of staff. According to TMZ, the consultant in question doesn’t deny sending the photo but says he did to emphasize his feelings against racism.

But that isn’t all the lawsuit’s about. TMZ reports that 50 Cent also claims that the consultant, Andrew Jameson, made a secret deal for a reality TV show using 50’s name. 50 alleges that Jameson was in talks to shop the reality TV show around to E! or BET. 50 has text messages that he feels prove his claims.

There was also, 50 claims, a lobby to get a white, female member of 50 Cent’s staff to appear on the show. One staffer contacted by Jameson said that the white woman employed by 50 would never let her face be seen on BET.

In reply, Jameson sent the staffer a picture of a KKK rally. He captioned the photo, “Okay. Hmm. but not judging.” In the lawsuit, 50 Cent claims that he saw the photo and put the word out that Jameson was out of a job.

However, Jameson maintains that the text message wasn’t meant to be racist but was really a critique of the white woman on 50 Cent’s staff.

“I apologize for sending this text, which in very poor taste sought to comment on the type of person who would not work with others based on their race.”

Based on court documents obtained by Radar Online, 50 says Jameson,

“…sought to take advantage of a well-known celebrity’s status and success. Under the guise of offering consulting services to Jackson’s production company entitled G-Unit, Jameson unlawfully attempted to procure engagements for Jackson and G-Unit in exchange for, among other things, lucrative advance fees in violation of the California Labor Code.”

According to the court documents, 50 Cent paid Jameson advances totaling $270,000 to secure the deal for a show but ended up axing the deal after “realizing they received very little in value” from the arrangement. Jameson still continued to represent 50 in meetings to set up new TV deals. One of those “secret” negotiations was for a reality show about life inside G-Unit, 50 Cent’s production company. The text messages published by Radar show Jameson suggesting to a G-Unit executive that they should try to cast a “friendly young white girl” to make the show more appealing to buyers.

There are no reports of 50 Cent commenting on this story as yet.
