Rapper Future: 100 Percent Involved In His Son’s Life? Split-Parenting Complications

Future is in a split-parenting situation. Although he’s cool with Russell Wilson being around his son, he doesn’t agree with everything Ciara is “doing behind his back.”

Rapper Future was recently interview by XXL. In the recorded discussion he was asked a few questions about how he felt about Russell Wilson being around his son, Future Zahir Wilburn. The rapper stated as follows.

“I’m telling you right now, I’m giving you two sides. Like, I’m cool with it. I’m cool with him being around him but certain situations, we all in the public eye, you can’t move around with my son a certain kind of way, you know what I’m saying? I feel like a lot of moves are just made out of just being evil, basically.”

“Because, you know, the success of my album and you still want to make certain moves to take the spotlight off me a little bit and shed light on a negative situation. Why would you want to put light on a negative situation? Even if I didn’t care about it, the people have a way of looking at it. Why would you want to give these people an opinion on our kid? Why won’t we just let our child be a child?”

After photos surfaced about his son hugging Wilson, several people voiced their opinions about the situation. Even T.I. said that he wasn’t feeling it at all — also that, if it were him, he’d “go the f**k off,” as reports Hollywood Life. During the onset of the situation, Future tweeted about their split and the decision Ciara made.

Nonetheless, the interview continued as Future stated the following.

“I want to be able to judge him for myself. I want to judge the nannies that’s around my child. I don’t want to pay for a nanny that I never met, that I never got a chance to interview. That’s not the life I want for my child. I want to be involved 100 percent in all decisions made.”

“This my flesh and blood. If I don’t want him to do something, there’s supposed to [be a] compromise or we supposed to talk about it. You not supposed to just go behind my back and do it. This is my son, too.”

Ciara responded to Future’s diss in August. During an interview with CBS This Morning, she told Gayle King as follows.

“It’s been very interesting to hear what a lot of guys have had to say. I feel like in a sense it’s a bit of a double standard because at one point in time when we were together, I took care of his kids as well.”

And though the focus is on Zahir, you must not forget that Future has three more children — not to mention having to pay child support.

Hollywood Life reports that, before he got Ciara pregnant, he spoke about them on-air, during a segment of Streetz 94.5.

“Everybody thinks I got five baby mamas,” he complained. “[I have] three. … I have three kids. My son, he’s eleven. My little girl, she’s four. I have a one-year-old. My boy Prince.”
