WWE News: Big Update On Brock Lesnar Vs The Undertaker At ‘WWE Hell In A Cell’ And How It Affects ‘WrestleMania 32’

WWE is seemingly doing all it can to help improve ratings. Not only are they attempting to bring back WWE legends to drive up ratings, but they are also going to the McMahon well more. On top of all of this, WWE is bringing back a program that many believed would happen at WrestleMania 32. Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker had a war at WWE SummerSlam.

The idea was that the two would battle it out once more, but at a later date. Instead, due to the ratings problem, WWE decided to move it up. So we’re going to have Lesnar vs. Undertaker next month at WWE Hell in a Cell inside The Undertaker’s playground Hell in a Cell. According to the Wrestling Observer, the match between Lesnar and Taker will be the third and final. The idea is that Vince McMahon wants to have them both do something different at WrestleMania 32.

Before, it made total sense to have them battle it out next year in Dallas, Texas. Not only because the WWE fans would want to see the match again, but because the match could just be a big addition to what is already set to be an amazing show. Now WWE is planning for Brock Lesnar to take on The Rock at WrestleMania 32. Unless plans change, Rock should be back in early 2016 to help set up the match between the two.

This match has been discussed for years now and was even the plan for Lesnar at WrestleMania 30, however, Rock was hurt at WrestleMania 29 against John Cena in their main event match for the WWE Championship. WWE felt that it would be smart to have the two go at it eventually, but Rock’s schedule was heavy this past year. The year before, he was unable to be in a match because he was busy with movie projects he was behind on due to surgery he had to have after the match with Cena.

He is all caught up now, and he does have a relatively free schedule this WrestleMania season. All of this being said, Rock was going to be at WrestleMania 32 regardless of having a match or not. Why not market the show around Brock Lesnar vs. The Rock? Lesnar would have a big match with a top tier performer in two major matches. Win or lose, he is going to be happy with the type of spotlight he is getting. Fans will also eat up the idea of seeing major matches occur. It’s a win/win for everyone.

On top of this, if Sting is healthy, the obvious opponent for him at WrestleMania 32 is The Undertaker. Vince McMahon wants to sell out the show, and this would be a good way to do it. However, if that is not in the cards, then The Undertaker will probably wrestle another big-name WWE Superstar. Right now, that very well could be John Cena since the rumored match he might have had with Hulk Hogan won’t be happening.
