Sent Home With Miscarried Baby: Sallie Axl, ‘Big Brother’ Star, Returned Home From Hospital After Miscarriage With Baby In A Plastic ‘Take Out’ Bag

Big Brother’s Sallie Axl is speaking out regarding her recent miscarriage and the horrific treatment she received from the NHS.

Axl, 27-years-old, suffered a miscarriage and claims she was mistreated at the hospital, resulting in an infection that nearly killed her. In addition to her own mistreatment, Axl stated that the hospital staff disrespected her deceased child by placing it in a plastic bag for her to take home, according to the Daily Mail. She shared the ordeal after a period of grieving with her Facebook followers.

‘On the 17th of July I received my dead baby at hospital in a box and a plastic bag…!”

Upset at the way her entire miscarriage was handled, Axl stated that she was simply sent home with some medicine and her dead baby to grieve on her own, without any concern for her outcome. She claimed it has taken some time to get to the point that she can talk about the situation and share the horrific experience. Despite the lack of care she received, she is more upset about the care her dead baby received.

“My dead baby was treated no more than someone handing me over a takeaway.”

Metro shared that Axl arrived at the hospital on the July 17, after the miscarriage occurred. According to her, the staff did not remove the dead baby from her and it began to cause an infection, which led to hemorrhages and collapsed veins. After her treatment for the infection, she was sent home once again, this time with medication and her dead baby in a plastic “takeaway” bag.

Axl took time to grieve the situation but had to share so it would not happen to others. Via Facebook, she pleaded with the hospitals to never allow this to happen again and shared her blessing that her daughter Nirvana is around to help her through the tough time.

“This should not happen to woman who lose their unborn children!! I should NoT of been left to take my dead child home in a plastic bag! I have only just started coming to terms with this ordeal and will finally be laying her to rest this week.Please stop this happening in hospitals. It just about ruined my life. Thank god I have my beautiful daughter nirvana to see me through these times. NHS you should be ashamed!!”

It was not revealed whether Axl requested her child go home with her or if it was simply provided at the hospital’s discretion.
