Emmy Awards 2015: The Complete Winners List

The Emmy Awards 2015 took place last night at the Microsoft Theatre in downtown Los Angeles, marking the 67th year for the awards show.

Fox broadcast the show live on Sunday, September 20, and featured Andy Samberg as the host.

Not only was a big night for HBO’s Game of Thrones, which received 24 nominations in July and set a new record for the most number of wins (12 for a television series in a single year), Veep took home best comedy, the first time a show other than Modern Family had won the award since 2009, according to the New York Times. Four Emmys were won for each comedy Veep and Game of Thrones, and six for Olive Kitteridge.

Viola Davis, of ABC’s How to Get Away with Murder, became the first African American to win in the category of lead actress in a drama. Jon Hamm of Mad Men finally won his first Emmy award for best actor, a category he has been nominated for for the last seven years.
