Cara Delevingne Fires Back At ‘Game Of Thrones’ Star Richard Madden For Calling Her ‘Unprofessional’
Cara Delevingne won’t take criticism lying down. The Paper Towns actress has fired back at Game of Thrones actor Richard Madden after Madden called her “unprofessional” and some other unpleasant things, the New York Daily News is reporting.
You may recall that back in July, Cara was doing the rounds promoting Paper Towns when she wound up doing an early-morning interview with Good Morning Sacramento. Cara, looking like she hadn’t had much sleep, took exception to the hosts calling her “Carla,” and, well, things just went downhill from there.
For readers who can’t watch videos, the gist of the video is this: As the anchors asked questions — questions that Cara had apparently heard too many times and was sick of answering — Cara gave blunt, short, and sarcastic answers.
Asked if she had read John Green’s book on which Paper Towns is based. Cara responded curtly, “Uh, no I never read the book, or the script. I kind of winged it.”
Fast forward to this week: Game of Thrones star Richard Madden was being interviewed by Yahoo Lifestyle when, for reasons that aren’t clear, he decided to talk about Cara’s awkward interview.
“It was unprofessional. It made her seem ungrateful. She showed her age. For Cinderella, I did six weeks of those interviews, where you get asked the same eight questions. If you’re not capable of doing that gracefully, then don’t do it.”
Cara Delevingne was not amused. Taking to Twitter Tuesday night, the 23-year-old former model shot back.

To be fair, Richard Madden isn’t the only person to take exception to Cara’s behavior in that interview. On The View, the hostesses had some pointed advice for the young starlet as well. Nicole Wallace perhaps said it best (via MSN).
“When you’re a famous movie star and you get to go on a local news show to promote a movie that people are paying $18 to go watch, you don’t get to act like a b***h.”
Madden has since apologized to Cara, via Twitter, saying that his remarks were taken out of context.
