Shannon Beador On Meghan King Edmonds’ Extensive Research On Brooks Ayers: ‘I Was Again Floored’

Shannon Beador was shocked to discover how much research Meghan King Edmonds did on Brooks Ayers on last night’s new episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, and in her September 14 blog for Bravo, she addressed the issue with fans.

“Dinner with Heather and Meghan was shocking,” Shannon Beador wrote.

“It is quite clear that Meghan wants to get to the bottom of things. I would never pick up a phone and pretend that I was sick to get information. She will clearly do whatever it takes to try and gather information.”

On last night’s show, Shannon Beador and the rest of the housewives discovered Edmonds had not only called the doctor Ayers was seeing in hopes of finding out more about his treatment plan, but also contacted his ex-girlfriend, asking her about his cancer diagnosis.

“I was again floored by the information delivered by Meghan that she had contacted one of Brooks’ ex-girlfriends who apparently alleged that Brooks had faked cancer in the past. She is definitely on a mission to get to the truth. And then to hear that Brooks found out about Meghan’s plan. I know they cannot be happy about it.”

While Edmonds has claimed in the past she was researching Ayers and his cancer simply to gain more information out of concern for his health, that has been doubted by a number of her co-stars, and many fans, as well.

As for Shannon Beador, she understands why Ayers and his girlfriend, Vicki Gunvalson, were so upset about Edmonds’ meddling, but also feels for Edmonds and her husband, who were faced with accusations regarding their marriage. Overall, claimed Shannon Beador, the whole episode was a “big mess.”

Shannon Beador went on to address her own involvement in Ayers’ treatment. As fans saw on previous episodes of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Shannon Beador attempted to hook Ayers up with one of the top doctors in their area, but unfortunately, Ayers chose not to take her up on the generous offer.

“To be clear, I would have done the research for Brooks’ illness whether asked or not. Vicki did ask me for my help, though, on the same day that she found out about his diagnosis.”
