Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Hits Consoles This September

Namco Bandai’s Tekken Tag Tournament 2 has been available in arcades abroad for quite a long time now, but now we know when the latest installment in the Tekken franchise will be making its way to consoles.

In announcement from Namco Bandai’s European arm (via Shoryuken), the company announced that it will be bringing Tekken Tag Tournament 2 to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 at long last on September 10, 2012. We previously heard that the game was coming out in September, but no specific release date was given.

In addition to the release date announcement, Namco Bandai also revealed pre-order incentives for those of you in Europe. If you put in your Tekken Tag Tournament 2 pre-order at Shop-to, you’ll receive Michelle and Angel as bonus characters; if you choose Zavvi, you’ll get Kunimitsu and Ancient Ogre.

There will also be a collector’s edition of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 available exclusively at GAME in Europe. Said collector’s edition includes a 200-page artbook, the game’s soundtrack with a few remixes thrown in, and a behind-the-scenes video, all of which is packed in an “exclusive” metal case. Unfortunately, it’s unknown at this point if that collector’s edition, or the pre-order bonuses, will be made available outside of Europe.
