Prince Harry Loving His Time In Africa: Is Chelsy Davy Part Of The Reason?

Prince Harry knows how to keep himself busy. The military royal, who has been spending his time in Africa battling poachers with guns and sleeping under the stars, is all set to return to London if sources close to the family are to be believed.

Prince Harry has promised those waiting in England that he has garnered a wealth of information during his three-month sojourn in Africa, but there might just be something else that Prince Harry seems intent on bringing home.

According to The Daily Beast, there have been rumors flying around the royal household that Prince Harry has rekindled his relationship with ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy, the Zimbabwe-born intermittent lawyer who was famously in a feisty relationship with Prince Harry from 2004 and 2010. It was widely believed at the time that the couple were planning to marry, but that Chelsy took fright at the prospect of adjusting to the rigors of royal life.

However, The Sun reports that Prince Harry is considering giving his relationship with Chelsy Davy another go, with Davy also keen to resume the relationship having broken up with her former jeweler boyfriend Charles Goode in January. The publication quoted a close friend of Prince Harry making the following statement about the prospect of the couple getting back together.

“Harry still holds a candle for her. Chelsy has his heart. They saw each other recently. There’s still very much something between them, but Chelsy won’t commit yet because she doesn’t want to lead a life in the spotlight. Harry’s very sensitive to that.”

It is also believed that Prince Harry might finally be ready for another serious relationship, with his last high-profile romance with actress Cressida Bonas ending in April, 2014. The royal prince had confirmed in an interview with People last year that he would like somebody next to him to share the pressures that come with being fifth in line to the throne of the British empire.

“It would be great to have someone else next to me to share the pressure. But, you know, time will come and whatever happens, happens.”

Only time will tell if Prince Harry and his feisty girlfriend do come back together, but if they do, it might not be long before Buckingham Palace hears the tinkling of wedding bells again.
