Ian Somerhalder Brags About Wife, Ready To Be A Father

Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed seem like a perfect match, and the star of The Vampire Diaries is now speaking out about how starting a family is the next step for these two lovebirds. ET Online got the chance to catch up with Somerhalder and find out about his married life and how things are going. Ian sure does look good in love.

Right now, Nikki and Ian don’t have their own little one on the way, but they do parent nine animals. These two are constantly sharing about their love for animals on social media. Recently, Nikki and Ian showed off a picture of the cat that they had adopted together. When asked about becoming a father someday, Ian Somerhalder didn’t hold back at all.

Oh, hell yes! Absolutely. You know, it’s all about practice… It’s not practice makes perfect – it’s perfect practice. It’s the most incredible thing to be happy and secure in something. It’s a pretty crazy time and place to bring a child into this turbulent and insane world — but I really can’t wait to do it and really just love it.

Somerhalder did tease that he is actually the one that is pregnant right now. Of course, that is not the case, but they don’t have a baby on the way yet either. Many fans believe Ian Somerhalder is going to be a great father someday, considering how ready he is to take on this next chapter of his life. Ian didn’t share yet if these two are already starting to try for a baby or if they are just talking about the future.

Ian Somerhalder is probably going to be a parent that won’t allow his children to be tied to technology, that is for sure. MTV recently shared how Somerhalder thinks that our obsession with technology is like a disease. Ian feels like people are impatient sometimes with their phones, and it trickles down to their children and more. Ian does love technology, but it doesn’t sound like he will be letting it take over his life or that of his children.
