Jill Zarin Wanted Bethenny Frankel To Be Hated? ‘RHONY’ Feud Update

Jill Zarin’s feud with Bethenny Frankel is still going strong. Although Jill Zarin hasn’t been a part of the cast of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New York City since season four, the drama between her and Frankel lives on, and was discussed during an upcoming episode of Watch What Happens Live.

During a sneak peek at the special episode, titled The Real Housewives of New York City: 100th Episode Watch What Happens Live Special, and shared by PEOPLE Magazine on September 11, Frankel spoke of a key moment between herself and Jill Zarin, which occurred on the set of the TODAY show.

“When I got there, the first thing that was told to me by the producers was, ‘[Jill Zarin] called here, and she lost her mind. Why not me? I’d be better than her.’ I mean, if someone wanted me to go to L.A. and be on their show, she would just, like, say, ‘Why aren’t you bringing me? It would be much better with the two of us.'”

Continuing to speak to host Andy Cohen, Frankel revealed she had sent flowers to the husband of Jill Zarin as he battled cancer, but when The Real Housewives of New York City returned for its next season, Frankel claimed Jill Zarin called her out on camera, alleging she never sent her well-wishes to Bobby.

“I was like, ‘Woah. This is one cunning b—h.’ Like, [Jill Zarin]’s waiting on camera to come at me and make America hate me. It was really clear that she wanted people to hate me, and it completely backfired.”

“[Jill Zarin] liked to control the process,” Frankel continued of her former co-star. “She had a big plan that she was going to take me down and it backfired in her face, and it must be very difficult for her that she can say she is responsible for putting me on the show and people say I’m the most successful Housewife in history.”

Also included in the Bravo special are Kelly Bensimon, Aviva Drescher, Luann de Lesseps, Dorinda Medley, Sonja Morgan, Carole Radziwill, Ramona Singer, Kristen Taekman and Heather Thomson.
