Justin Bieber shocked quite a few viewers when he showed off his new platinum blonde hairdo on the Today show during a performance on Thursday. During the MTV Video Music Awards, Justin Bieber debuted a new haircut, but apparently he did not like it too much, because the singer has decided to dye his hair again. Bieber chose a platinum blonde color for his hair, which was cut short on the sides and left floppy on top.
As reported by the Daily Mail, Justin asked the audience what they thought of his new ‘do.
“You guys like the hair?” the “What Do You Mean” singer asked the crowd.
For his most loyal followers, Justin’s new look was cheered on. However, it was clear that not everyone agreed with his radical makeover (which he had already worn before) and the memes in social networks were almost immediate.
After his Today show performance with his new look, fans began to share their opinions through Twitter. Many were in favor, while others had no filter when criticizing the look. Once again, Justin Bieber has become the talk of social media networks. Although, this time, the singer was not at the center of the chatter due to a problem with the law or for one of his numerous relationship conflicts, but because of his new makeover. The Canadian-born singer also stirred up controversy after he was heard complaining about how the Today show crew worked the cameras while he was on stage.
“Next time I won’t dance because the camera’s here the whole time. Might as well not dance,” the cranky 21-year-old could be heard saying. “What do I do this for if they’re just gonna…,” he says, before being interrupted by a commercial break.
According to a report from ET Online, Justin was frustrated because the cameras were not on him while he was dancing to his new hit, “What Do You Mean?”
Despite the controversy, Bieber is still seeing tremendous success in his music career and he has now become the youngest male artist to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with “What Do You Mean?,” his new single and first number one hit on the chart. Officials from the Guinness World Records presented him with a plaque before his performance on the Today show.
