‘The Walking Dead’ Inspires Chop Shop’s Latest Menu

While most fans of zombie shows like AMC’s The Walking Dead and SyFy’s Z Nation like to think they would be one of the human survivors, the reality is that many zombie apocalypse fans would actually end up as the undead. For those of you who would like a chance to check out what it would be like to eat like the undead, then now is your chance.

Chop Shop in the UK is opening its doors with a zombie-inspired menu to celebrate the release of season 5 of The Walking Dead on DVD. According to the Evening Standard, the menu is inspired by what your average walker on The Walking Dead would like to be chowing down on; cannibal chops, ears, fresh blood, and — of course — brains. While the menu titles are inspired by zombie fodder, rest assured you will not actually be consuming human flesh. The full Walking Dead menu is included below:

Infested Lice Cream served with Brain Remains (vanilla custard ice cream, rhubarb compote and crumble)

The Chop Shop’s special Walking Dead-inspired menu will be available from September 21 – October 4, 2015. The cost is £30 per person (approximately $US46.31), and the Evening Standard advises Walking Dead fans turn up and ask for “a feast to die for.”

Season 5 of AMC’s The Walking Dead was released on DVD and Blu-Ray on August 25, 2015. According to Fansided, the suggested retail price is $79.99 for the Blu-ray™ + Digital HD and $69.98 for the DVD. As with previous Walking Dead Blu-Ray and DVD releases, the press release announced the season 5 release would be “jam-packed with three hours of insightful and provocative bonus features that give viewers yet another inside glimpse into creating the fallen world of the Walkers and the souls brave – and crazy – enough to attempt survival.”

UK fans will have the opportunity to walk a while in a walkers shoes before the season 6 premiere of The Walking Dead returns to AMC on Sunday, October 11, 2015.
