Former ‘RHOBH’ Star Kim Richards Reveals If She’s Sober On Twitter

Former RHOBH star Kim Richards returned to Twitter earlier this week, and in one of her tweets, shared on September 9, the longtime RHOBH star spoke of her sobriety.

The RHOBH star also confirmed with another fan that she was doing well, despite having two pending cases against her.

Earlier this year, Richards suffered an alcohol relapse after years of sobriety, which started with a stint in rehab during filming on an early season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Shortly after, on April 16, the former RHOBH star was arrested at the Beverly Hills Hotel, where she enjoyed a number of cocktails before becoming a disturbance to other patrons. Once she was asked to leave, things got heated with the RHOBH star and she allegedly refused, leading police to be called. Upon arrival, authorities pursued Richards, and arrested her on site. During the arrest, the RHOBH star kicked a police officer, which led to a battery on an officer charge, in addition to charges of public intoxication, resisting an officer, and trespassing.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, the former RHOBH star allegedly rejected a plea deal in regard to the case earlier this month. At the time, Ricardo Santiago, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office, told PEOPLE Magazine that the RHOBH star skipped the court appearance due to an injury to her foot.

“She didn’t attend because she had some sort of injury to her foot, and therefore couldn’t appear. The judge accepted the explanation and allowed her attorney to appear on her behalf.”

Immediately after the court hearing, Richards was said to have accepted a plea deal, but Santiago insists that was not the case.

“There were conversations about a negotiated settlement being offered by our office, but the offer was rejected by the defense.”

The deal offered to the RHOBH star included a 3-year probation term, 30 days of community labor, and 52 Alcoholics Anonymous classes. According to the report, Richards’ attorney rejected the deal because “they wanted community service instead of community labor,” although it is unclear why. Either way, the case is now heading to trial, which could prove to be a bad thing for the former RHOBH star.

Former RHOBH star Kim Richards is due back in court for a pre-trial hearing on September 14.
