Bride And Groom Give ‘Drunk History’ Of Their Love Story In Epic Wedding Video

Justin Willman and Jillian Sipkins were getting married and didn’t want to bore their guests with the typical “how we met” story, so they decided to spice up the story by telling it in Drunk History fashion. The pair downed a bottle of whiskey, two bottles of wine, and half a bottle of vodka between the two of them and shared their love story. As the couple told their story of chance encounters, actors reenacted the scenes and lip-synced the words. The result was an epic wedding video that was played at their rehearsal dinner. Despite the drinking, language, and talk of premarital sex, the couple says even grandma enjoyed the video.

Buzzfeed reported on the video, noting that the couple will now have a lot to live up to in regard to viral videos as their wedding rehearsal film has racked up over 360,000 views since being uploaded just two days ago.

The couple says that they both love the show Drunk History and thought it would be fun to tell their story in a similar fashion. For those who are unaware, Drunk History is a show that features history retold by an inebriated narrator. The story is then reenacted as told by the drunk narrator as the passages are lip-synced by the actors in the video.

The couple’s love story was perfect for the Drunk History format as it contains magicians, chance encounters, and even celebrities. As an overview, Jillian is a photographer who was working the event Hilarity for Charity in which Justin Willman was performing as a comedian/magician. Though the pair didn’t initially spark a conversation at the event, six months later they would run into each other again at a second event. The pair exchanged social media accounts but took the relationship no further. Finally, it was a single Instagram comment that would seal their fate as husband and wife. The pair met up and the rest was drunk history.

When talking about the video, Justin Willman says they simply wanted to cut wasted time answering the question, “how did you two meet?”

“Yesterday we got married. We didn’t want to waste time at the wedding reception having to answer the question ‘how did you two meet?’, so with the help of a few friends and a lot of booze we made this video to show at the rehearsal dinner. Enjoy!”
