CMA Nominations: Little Big Town, Eric Church Leading 2015 Awards Nominations


The CMA nominations have been revealed, and Little Big Town and Eric Church are in the lead for the most nominations for the 2015 Country Music Association Awards.

Little Big Town, with their hit single “Girl Crush,” are tied with Eric Church with five nominations each. Church earned his first nomination for entertainer of the year, going up against the reigning entertainer Luke Bryan, along with Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney, and Miranda Lambert. Church was also nominated for male vocalist, single, song, and musical event of the year for a duet with Keith Urban.

Little Big Town is nominated for Single of the Year, Vocal Group of the Year, Video of the Year (“Girl Crush”), Musical Event (for “Smokin’ and Drinkin’ ” with Miranda Lambert) and Album of the Year for their sixth studio effort, Pain Killer. The songwriters for “Girl Crush,” Liz Rose, Lori McKenna, and Hillary Lindsey, also received a nomination for song of the year.

Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley will be hosting the awards show at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee on November 4 for the eighth year in a row. The show will be airing on ABC at 8 p.m. ET.
