‘Real Housewives Of New York’ Negotiations For New Season Continue

The seventh season has just ended, and the negotiations are beginning to see who will and who won’t return to Real Housewives of New York. What seemed to be cemented two weeks ago has now been turned on its ear with the wind of scandal of the Ashley Madison cheating variety.

Once deemed “too boring,” Kristen Taekman now seems very interesting and very relevant after her husband Josh Taekman was discovered to have an active Ashley Madison cheating site account. The Inquisitr has reported that RHONY star Sonja Morgan found the topic of conversation interesting enough to start blabbing to the press about her thoughts on Taekman’s marriage, and that she saw this scandal unwrapping. Once confronted about gossiping, Morgan only seemed to be sorry that she got caught red-handed, yet she still had not found the time to apologize to Taekman.

The New York Daily News is reporting with up-to-date information about the Real Housewives of New York, and the status of their contracts, and as previously reported, Heather Thomson is out.

“Heather says she quit, but it was a mutual decision after meeting with the network,” says our source. “Kind of like a, ‘Hey, I don’t want to come back,’ and ‘We don’t want you to come back’ kind of thing. Heather didn’t like the drama and said it was bad for business and her personal life in the end.”

They are also reporting that even though Bethenny Frankel is a go for next season, she is still in final negotiations. Also still in the works are LuAnn de Lesseps and Carole Radziwill, who are said to be holding out for a salary increase. Surprisingly, there is no word on a new contract for Sonja Morgan or Ramona Singer, but Kristen Taekman is said to be off the chopping block for now.

Reality Tea is reporting that Dorinda Medley, a favorite in her first season of Real Housewives, is a go for season 8, as she seems to be a stabilizing force for many of the housewives, and has also been a buffer when needed.

The movement of contracts is quite fluid right now, so new information might surface at any time.
