Shakira’s first performance since having a baby came on Sunday night when she joined Mexican super group Maná on stage in Barcelona.
Shakira surprised the fans in attendance at the Palau Sant Jordi stadium when she walked out on the stage after Maná began playing “Mi Verdad.”
Around the time the concert began, Sharkira’s Instagram featured a photo of the Colombian songstress as she prepares to go onstage to surprise fans with her first post-baby performance.
Later, Shakira’s Instagram featured a second photo from the night, in which Shakira is featured standing on the stage next to Maná frontman Fher Olvera. Needless to say, fans went nuts leaving encouraging comments on the two photos in both Spanish and English.
The show in Barcelona may have been perfect as a first performance back for Shakira, since the 38-year-old singer lives in the city with her husband. Shakira is married to soccer player Gerard Piqué. Together, the couple have two sons: Milan and Sasha. Sasha was born in January via cesarean section at the Teknon clinic in Barcelona.
Around the time of Sasha’s birth, Billboard predicted that Shakira would release a new album and go on a world tour sometime this year. Fans are still waiting for news of Shakira’s newest album, as her most recent album, the eponymous Shakira, was released in March of 2014.
As noted by ET, Shakira looked flawless as she stepped onto the stage in Barcelona, showing off her toned arms and legs.
“Shakira looked absolutely stunning as she took the stage in Barcelona to perform ‘Mi Verdad’ alongside rock group, Maná. The crowd was, needless to say, through the roof over her appearance!”
Shakira’s surprise performance included the hit song, “Mi Verdad” which she and Olvera recorded together for Maná’s most recent album, Cama Incendiada. The song was recorded as an acoustic version.
