The 2016 UEFA European Championship Qualifiers continue live online, and fans can watch World Cup champions Germany on Monday as they visit Scotland in search of three points that would make earning a trip to France next summer almost a sure thing.
But Germany will face a determined opponent in Scotland who gave them a scare in the Group D opener in the Euro Qualifiers a year ago, when the Germans needed a brace from Thomas Mueller to edge the Scots 2-1.
To find out how to watch the Scotland Vs. Germany 2016 UEFA European Championship Qualifier live online, see the streaming information in the final paragraph of this article. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:45 p.m. local time at 51,000-seat Hampden Park in Glasgow, Scotland, on Monday, September 7 — 2:45 p.m. United States Eastern Time, 11:45 a.m. Pacific.
Scotland faces a tough assignment against Germany Manager Joachim Löw and his squad of international superstars, especially after the Scots could not muster a goal against lowly Georgia, falling 1-0 and allowing Georgia to win just their second game of the 2016 Euro qualifying competition.
“We are going to take that disappointment and turn it into a good performance on Monday,” Scotland Manager Gordon Strachan said on Saturday. “I’ve got every confidence in the players in the group. They’ll get themselves organized, refreshed and will be looking forward to the challenge. There are players in there that I’m sure will be wanting to put on a great performance on Monday night. It will have to be a great performance to collect points.”
In the all-time series between Germany and Scotland, the two countries have faced each other 15 times, and the series has been more even than might be expected, with Germany winning six, Scotland claiming four victories, and five matches ending in draws.
Will Scotland recover from their discouraging defeat to unheralded Georgia on Friday, or will the defending World Cup champions beat the Scots for a second time in this Group D qualifying round?
