Reality Star Vicki Gunvalson Speaks Of Brooks Ayers’ Split, Claims She’s ‘Setting A New Path’ For Her Future

Reality star Vicki Gunvalson announced her split from Brooks Ayers after four years on Facebook last month, and still, the reality star is experiencing hard times. On Twitter on September 4, a fan requested a breakup update from the Real Housewives of Orange County star, and in response, Gunvalson said she wasn’t doing well nearly one month after splitting from her cancer-stricken boyfriend.

The reality star also shared a new Instagram meme on Friday, which read, “I am going to make everything around me beautiful. That will be my life.”

With the quote, Gunvalson added the caption, “Setting a new path for my future….. Again!”

The reality star and her former boyfriend began dating four years ago while Gunvalson was filming The Real Housewives of Orange County, and throughout their relationship, they both faced speculation regarding both Ayers’ intentions, and his cancer diagnosis. At the start of the reality star’s relationship, her daughter, Briana Culberson, and her then-best friend, Tamra Barney, wondered if Ayers had true feelings for Gunvalson, or whether he was just interested in her fame and success. Still, the couple pressed on until their August 2015 split.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, the reality star and her former boyfriend, Ayers, released a joint statement to fans on Facebook on August 16. Below is what they revealed to their many fans on social media.

“After much prayer, thought, counseling, and consideration, we have decided to end our four year relationship. We both wish nothing but a great future for each other. We have come to realize that one can indeed love someone in their heart, but that the time may come for their lives to take separate paths. Though the remaining episodes of Season 10 of The Real Housewives of Orange County will show us as a couple, the filming took place in January 2015 through May 2015. There will be no further statements or interviews regarding our relationship as we choose to move on with our lives. Though we choose to live our lives in the public eye we thank you for your understanding and ask privacy during this difficult time.”
