Gary Busey’s ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Announcement Made On Horseback [Video]
Gary Busey is going to be on Dancing with the Stars!
Not only is Gary Busey going to compete for the Mirror Ball Trophy on Season 21 of the popular dancing competition show, but he is expected to up the show’s comedy factor… by a lot. And, it has already started.
The actor decided to make his official DWTS announcement on Tuesday night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live. While you might have expected Busey to walk on to the stage in dancing shoes, he actually did something that made no sense at all; he came out on a horse. Yes, a real horse.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Gary Busey wanted to share the news with the world himself, and did so in a way that only he could.
“I am so proud to be here with you. To announce this incredible, [life]-changing thing,” Busey said to Kimmel, and to the rest of the watching world.
When asked why he decided to do DWTS, Busey’s answer was simple: “I didn’t have anything else to do.”
Gary Busey seemed prepared for Dancing with the Stars as he was dressed in a glittering outfit, but his cowboy hat and boots weren’t really representative of how his time on the show is going to go. According to E! News, Gary is partnered with Anna Trebunskaya. She will do her best to teach Gary how to ballroom dance, which will likely be a bit frustrating for her, but should be super entertaining for viewers.
