DJ Snake has plenty of music credits to his name. The EDM Producer laid down the musical tracks for AlunaGeorge’s “You Know You Like It,” worked with Lil’ Jon to produce the dance hit “Turn Down For What,” and also produced the Major Lazer/Mo collaboration “Lean On,” which is on DJ Snake’s SoundCloud page. DJ Snake’s latest project involves pop musician Calvin Harris’ song “How Deep Is Your Love” featuring Disciples. You can hear the blisteringly-awesome, Trap-inspired sound below.
According to WeRaveYou.com, Harris teased that the remix was on its way on August 26, via a short but to-the-point tweet. WeRaveYou has more information on the latest Calvin Harris remix to hit the scene. Trap Music is typically known for “aggressive” lyricism paired with heavy bass and drum usage for a powerful melody. It has some similarities to Electronic Dance Music, or EDM, in that both rely on a heavy beat.
“The 15 second preview features a trap remix that features the heartfelt vocals from the track drop into a pitch modulated hook that has become a signature sound for him. Calvin Harris assures fans with this short but revealing preview that the french DJ/producer’s take on the chart topping hit will not disappoint EDM fans.”
As Your EDM discovered, the only version of “How Deep Is Your Love” to contain live audio is the remix by Deep House group, R3hab. Still, the DJ Snake remix definitely stands on its own, proving that Harris and DJ Snake can definitely have positive influences on one another’s style. Inquisitr noted that Calvin Harris made the Forbes list as the highest-paid DJ of 2015, and this proves Harris deserves that title.

In the past, Harris has also partnered with such talents as Ellie Goulding (“Outside”) and John Newman (“Blame It On The Night”). According to OfficialCharts.com, Harris’ and DJ Snake’s remix has been the most-streamed song three weeks running with 2.24 million listeners; additionally, the song has hit number four on the overall sales charts. Not too shabby. Harris will be touring Belfast, Ireland, tonight with Ellie Goulding, John Newman, Burns, and Disciples.
Harris has always had a very audible EDM and pop influence in his work, but this is his first foray into Trap music. YourEDM.com noted that Harris and DJ Snake’s remix of “How Deep Is Your Love” also has elements of deep house music in it.
