Legendary Canadian country singer Shania Twain turns 50 today, and in honor of her milestone birthday, you can get tickets to her upcoming shows for just $50. This gives everyone something to celebrate.
The special promotion began Friday morning and will run until Monday at 11:59 p.m., assuming the tickets don’t sell out before then. To get the discount, simply enter the promo code “HAPPY” when purchasing tickets online.
This is an exciting promotion not only because it means fans can see her show during her 50th year, but also because Twain announced that the Rock This Country tour going on now will be her final tour.
This tour is the first tour she has been on in 11 years. She spent most of the time away from the traveling crowds performing in Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. But despite an incredible career, she’s ready to say goodbye.
“This is a very, very important time on the road for me. I just feel like I’m ready to hang my hat up in that regard. I just really want to go out with a bang…This is going to be a big tour for me because it’s going to be my last. This is my last tour. I’m going to make the most of it. Let’s put it that way.”
So far, she’s managed to create a pretty loud bang on her final tour. The Rock This Country tour began on June 5 in Seattle, and she took the stage rocking long blond hair and a bedazzled red romper. Despite the changes that have come in music since she was the star many years ago, she stayed true to her original character, style, and voice and ended the first show with her debut hit “Man! I Feel Like a Woman.”
Her tour has already grossed $40 million in sales, and it still has another two months in the United States and Canada before it wraps up on October 27 in Kelowna, British Columbia. There’s no question that the superstar’s still got it!
And it’s not just her voice that’s going strong after 50 years. There’s no denying that she still looks fabulous at her age. The fact that Shania turned 50 doesn’t seem to have fazed her physical appearance in the slightest.
Though the likes of Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift could be a threat to her record-breaking career as a country music icon, she has an impressive track record to beat. She’s a diamond-selling recording artist and has won five Grammys, four ACMAs, two CMAs, and is one of the longest-running shows in Vegas.
Ever since Twain hit the stage in the early ’90s with her debut single “Man! I Feel Like a Woman,” she’s been an icon in the country music industry, both in the voice department and in wardrobe. As Shania turns 50, she’s still proving to be the incredible award-winning artist we’ve long known her to be.
