Julianne Hough Shows Off Giant Engagement Ring, Opens Up About Finace Brooks Laich’s Proposal

Julianne Hough is showing off her downright massive engagement ring, and for the first time opening up about her proposal from hockey star husband-to-be Brooks Laich.

The two got engaged earlier this month, sharing the happy news with fans on Instagram.

Now, two weeks later, Julianne Hough is finally showing fans the massive rock that Laich gave her. In another message to fans, this time on her personal blog, the Dancing With The Stars judge showed off the ring and how happy it’s made her.

“The ring itself makes me feel very feminine and takes my breath away every time I look down, which I can’t stop doing, by the way,” she wrote. “When it comes to taking it off, forget it. I’ll even wake up in the middle of the night to make sure it’s still there! I never thought I’d be the girl sticking her hand out to her friends and screaming in unison but here I am, shrieking all over Los Angeles.”

Julianne also opened up about Laich’s proposal, saying it was a “magical and sweet” moment.

“We were at home, romantic, and relaxed, which is perfectly very ‘us.’ We stood on the deck, watching the sun set over the lake and listening to our favorite songs. Not even for a second did I expect that beautiful, serene scene was about to become one of the most meaningful moments of our lives. In fact, I was so taken aback when Brooks got down on one knee I completely blacked out! It was like a rush of heat and a wave of uncontrollable emotion swept right through my body. I didn’t have any words at first (me! no words!). All I could do was explode into his arms and experience pure joy from head to toe.”

Julianne Hough had already reached out to fans on her blog, thanking them for all the support they had shown.

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the outpouring of love and well wishes surrounding my engagement! This is certainly one of the most exciting times in my life and I am so happy to share it with you all!”

“That said, I’m going to take a slight social media time out to enjoy this special time with my fiance (!)… When I return to writing in a few days, I promise some exclusive details and pics just for you, so stay tuned!”

Julianne Hough has dated Brooks Laich since the winter of 2013, and wrote that she knew he was “the one” from the moment they first met.
