Yolanda Foster Undergoes Cryotherapy In Fight Against Lyme Disease, What Is It?

Yolanda Foster updated fans on her Lyme disease battle on August 25. As filming continues on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills with the reality star and mother of three appearing to be completely absent, Yolanda Foster took to social media, where she told fans about her latest Lyme disease treatment.

Along with a photo of herself in a white robe, Yolanda Foster wrote, “3 Minutes of Bliss…….. #Cryotherapy -250•F #AntiInflammatoryTreatment #ChronicLymeDiseaseAwareness.”

According to US Cryotherapy, the treatment is not a medical procedure, but rather a non-invasive option for patients seeking a faster recovery and better health. Other benefits of cryotherapy are as follows:

  • Faster muscle recovery
  • Promotes healthier skin complexion
  • Invigorates the mind
  • Improves sleep pattern
  • Assists with cellulite reduction
  • Effective with chronic pain management
  • Faster surgical recovery
  • Reduces stress & anxiety

While there are a number of different options for undergoing cryotherapy, Yolanda Foster appears to have chosen a chamber, which is kept at a low temperature and used by a number of different patients, as well as athletes.

Yolanda Foster was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2012, around the time she signed a deal to appear on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as a full-time housewife for the series’ third season. Then, at the end of 2014, as she wrapped filming on the fifth season of the reality show, Yolanda Foster suffered a Lyme disease relapse, which left her unable to read, write, or watch television. Months later, during filming on the Season 5 reunion, Yolanda Foster broke down, explaining she was unable to continue filming due to the devastating effects of the illness.

Since then, Yolanda Foster and her husband, David, have traveled the globe, undergoing different treatments in hopes of helping Yolanda Foster’s Lyme disease side effects to subside.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Yolanda Foster most recently traveled to Cleveland, Ohio, where doctors opted to remove her breast implants after discovering a leak may have led to a worsening in her Lyme disease symptoms. On Instagram, Yolanda Foster mapped out her leaky implant in a racy selfie.

“Turn a mess into a message……. We might have hit the jackpot by finding all this silicone from a 20 year old implant rupture through ultrasound mapping as shown in this selfie. Thank you Dr.Feng for holding my hand and leading the way #UncoveringTheMystery #ChronicLymeDisease #ExPlantSurgery @drfengclinic #MyHealthJourney #DeterminedToFindACure.”

Yolanda Foster has yet to confirm or deny her return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for Season 6.
